New favorite jacket

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Size wise, I am 5'11", 155lbs and found the Large to fit best. I also tried on a Medium, which would fit as a street jacket, but didn't have the range of motion I like.

This jacket is like a 2:1. You get the polyfill outer with a built in cotton flannel inner. Overall it makes for a decently warm jacket. Wear this with a hoodie underneath (another reason I went large), and you better hope it is in the 20s. Otherwise you'll be sweating your face off.

I can't say enough great things about this jacket. Comes with two buttoned chest pockets and 2 hidden zipper side pockets. One of the hidden pockets has a media pocket with a small hole for running headphones internally.

DWR wise the waterproofing is get for slightly wet conditions. While it isn't "waterproof" I didn't have to worry about snow melting on me and then into the jacket. It just repelled off and stayed dry.

Only possible downside with this jacket, which overall I don't mind at all, is it opens and closes with real buttons. It isn't as quick as snaps, but they do look good. Overall the holes break in and it isn't a big deal.
