Just Right

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This little mat rolls up small and weighs practically nothing. Its perfect for me (female 5'7"and ordered a small) it provides coverage for the right spots and is comfy. It doesn't completely inflate on its own, but a few puffs of air is usually all it takes and its ready to go.

Did the trick!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Debated between this one and full body sleeping pad. Since my use of this product would be 2-3 times per year I opted for the cheaper version. Great pad and light weight. I'd recommend it to anyone and I do not regret going with the smaller pad.

Great weight/comfort ratio

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Granted this isn't a Thermarest Neoair Xlite, the small weighs in at a pound and is very comfortable. It also cost less than half of the Xlite. Great bang for yourbuck.

Picture shows the sleeping pad folded and stored in the small Stoic Compression Pack.

Comfortable

Best I've ever had. Incredibly comfortable and packs up well. Though a cinching strap would be nice.

Slept like a baby

I have a bad back. Specifically, my spine is full of titanium screws and rods. I got this mat last winter and used it for the first time last month. I have never slept better while camping. The mat stayed inflated easily (though self-inflation wasn't so hot) and kept me put on the mat. I'm a stomach sleeper and found this mat (when paired with a Nemo Fillo pillow) to be the perfect combination for a good night's rest in the woods.

One word: comfortable

This is an awesome pad. When you grow up and realize your body does not accept those old, thin EVA rolls anymore, go for an inflatable mattress. This one in particular is one of the smallest when rolled, unless you don't mind a bigger roll and wear it outside your backpack (I prefer to store it within it).

It is extremely comfortable. This 1.5in thickness will make you forget you are so close to the earth or sand or rocks in a cold night.

The only drawbacks are I found are:
- It is not as *self* inflatable as it promises. I had to blow air in to inflate it, from day 1, even if following all their recommendations for usage and storage. Not a big deal anyway.
- It is quite expensive, for a mattress. But on the other hand, I now consider it a necessary investment.

4 Stars, no questions asked!!!

This is by far the best pad I own... I have ended up using this pad for all season use. It's nice and warm, and you can sleep on your side with it. Great overall pad for anyone looking to bridge the gap between 3-4 season use.

Great Product! 2 Thumbs up

Well I must say, I love this sleep pad. It is very light and easy to carry. I roll mine up and it stuffs great into my 3 day pack sitting nicely on my sleeping bag. This pad is self inflating and also adjustable in firmness. Add a couple extra breaths and it firms up really nice. This pad blew me away as I'm a 250lb guy, so I expected to have pushed through with my body weight and touch the ground. No part of my body pushes through to touch the ground when I firm it up to my liking. Very easy to deflate and roll up. Overall I give this sleep pad 2 thumbs up. 5 stars.

how small it can be folded? Can it be put into a carry on luggage?

Tempur-pedic for backpackers

This sleeping pad is amazing! Very compact, and ridiculously comfortable. Have used it twice winter camping as well and it insulates very well over snow. Granted, my last sleeping pad was a POS, so my standards are very low...but I can't imagine a pad being any more comfortable than this. My only complaint is that it didn't come with any sort of stuff sack or straps to keep it rolled up...other than that it is the best!

Rest is the key

I can't give this thing enough props. I have used it on multiple outings and slept like a baby. It is light, durable, and fills up quickly - way before you start feeling like you are going to pass out. What more do you need?

How thick is this pad when its inflated?

Nick,
My data is coming from the product description / info chart in the right margin. For all sizes of this pad (small/regular/large) the thickness is 1.5 inches.

nice little bed

I love this thing. I have used it for car-camping, multi-day backpacking trips, winter backpacking, inebriated slumbering on buddies' floors...everything. It is awesome for winter as it insulates like a champ; you can really feel the warmth emanating from this puppy.

Plus it packs down to the size of a Nalgene, so you really have no excuse not to bring it along. Highly Recommended !

Comfortable and packs tightly

Works great in any season. Blows up quickly and can become pretty firm. Can quickly deflate and pack away into a small footprint in no time.

Therm-a-Rest Prolite Plus Sleeping Pad

Great sleeping pad! Good balance between size and comfort. I would definitely recommend it for the typical backpacker who likes to keep their weight down but also likes to sleep comfortably. It seems very durable, has a lifetime warranty and fits perfectly with the 20 in Therm-a-Rest trekker chair (which I would also recommend). I do think the stuff sack should be included though. Overall, it's a good buy.

Therm-a-rest Prolite plus sleeping pad

So far it's a great pad, very comfortable, I weigh 250 pounds and it is very nice to sleep on. I also use it with the Therm-a-rest chair. Works great together and rolls up very small.

Great 4 season sleeping pad

Great sleeping pad, you cant feel the ground when you sleep on your sides, also keeps the cold out when using in winter. Also it compacts down, really small. Its pretty light weight also. When sleeping you are super comfortable, and warm if use in winter. Some people say there's leaks mine has worked flawlessly. Its a great sleeping pad all around, and I would buy another.

F you sunshine, i'm trying to sleep

For a while I was using a Z-lite, which I loved (great pad for the price) but it was finally time to upgrade so I went with a prolite plus in the regular size. I'm 5'8" and the regular is perfect allowing me to keep both my feet and head on the pad. It rolls up fairly small and is definitely small enough and light enough to carry on any overnight or multi-day trip. Sleeping on it is super comfortable and I have never slept better on any other sleeping pad. Even last weekend when I had a rock under my pad (oops) I slept super sound and didn't notice it at all. The pad also insulates very well and I have not felt any cold spots on my back, but I have also not taken it winter camping yet. All in all a great all around pad

Awesome

This is my First pad so I did a lot of review reading. I got the regular and this pad is light and packs pretty darn small. Lay it out with a few breaths and you are on your way to a good night sleep. I am a side sleeper and can't feel the ground. Very glad I got this one.
Ps.. get the regular stuff sack, it fits easy with room to spare. Other reviews worried me but very surprised how easy it was.
