Made for winter camping.

Get the highest warmth-to-weight ratio of any air mattress on your next winter camping trip with the Therm-A-Rest NeoAir XTherm Sleeping Pad. This lightweight pad insulates and cushions you from the hard, frigid ground below without tacking on the weight or bulk normally found in winter-worthy sleeping pads.

Tough nylon can handle sharp jabs from rocky campsites, while the soft, no-slip top fabric boosts comfort and keeps you from slipping off your pad when you're sleeping on uneven ground. ThermaCapture layers within the pad insulate and reflect heat back to your body to keep the cold ground from sucking away all your precious heat. The mummy shape saves valuable space in your pack and shaves down weight, and an included repair kit helps you out of a jam when you rip your portable bed.

  • Ripstop nylon and polyester fabric
  • ThermaCapture layers

Comfortable but loud

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

It's a comfortable pad that is easy to inflate but it's loud. Kinda crinkly but I don't mind. It's warm, I use it with a EE quilt and sleep like a rock. Would buy again.

The best. Period.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The warmest, lightest pad out there. Most people think sleeping pads are about being comfortable, but that's only part of the story. Sleeping pads are designed to keep you warm and insulate you from the ground. There is no other pad out there that's even close to this R value at this weight. Plus it's super tough and built right. I've got over 200 nights on mine and it's still going strong.

Warmest for the weight

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is *the* warmest mattress for the weight, but it's expensive and the light weight means the materials aren't the most durable. This is really good for winter, but I'd use foam pads for summer to save this one. If you're thinking about comfort, get something cheaper and thicker.
The new version is made of a slightly different material that isn't as crinkly as the old one, so complaints about it being loud don't apply as much, but it still sounds a bit. But complaints like that are stupid anyway. This one has a certain purpose, to be warm and light, and it does that extremely well.

I love it

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I focus on his product for a long time.I want to say it is really very light. Heat preservation performance is good. The package size is very small,so it convenient to carry. It should be noted that is very difficult to pump air into it.
I have blow it for 5 minutes and make me very tired! So I suggest to buy the pump.It makes all things simple.I hope my suggestions can be helpful for you.
I have bought many times from here. I’m very happy for every shopping time experience. So I hope that the businesses can provide more deal.
That’s all thank you!

I love it

Any idea when these will be back in stock?

Great Pad

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is a fantastic sleeping pad. This is the 3rd sleeping pad I have owned and I could not be happier. The main thing that initially sold me on it was the pack size. When folded and properly rolled, it is as big as a Nalgene bottle. The thickness is great and does an awesome job of keeping you warm. As the prior reviews mention, the material is a bit odd and makes a crinkle noise when you move around on top of it (a very minor concern for me). The noise does seem to diminish when you place a sleeping bag on top of it though. I am a very skinny dude with little body fat and I get cold pretty easily at night. This pad really helped me out in that department. Would definitely buy this product again.

Can you confirm that this is the 2015 model?

Hey Meghan! Thanks for your question. Yes, this is the 2015 model.

You Get What You Pay For

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

My first sleeping pad ever was a Thermarest Trail Lite (women's). Every time I used that pad, I would wake up sore and never rested. After reading reviews I decided to give this one a try. I was hesitant to purchase because of the high cost, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

This pad is VERY comfortable and VERY warm. I am a side sleeper and I felt like I was on a regular air mattress and didn't feel the ground at all. Yes, the pad makes a "crinkle" noise, but once I laid on it, I didn't even notice. Not an issue at all. It packs down very small and is lightweight as well.

My boyfriend and I both have this pad and when we woke in the morning, both had lost a little air, but were still well inflated where you would never feel the ground. I think this is common with any air-type mattress.

Yes, this is one of the more costly pads, but worth the investment. I awoke warm, rested, and ready for the day ahead. Highly recommend.

Catching cozy Zzz's for days

My first air pad after much disappointment from my self inflating pad.

Couldn't have made a better choice.

The XTherm is super comfy and kept me nice and toasty during cold nights desert camping.

Its never deflated on me overnight.

The crinkley noises it can make are not that bad.

It fits perfectly in my Big Agnes bag.

Pair it with the Neoair pump sack and you've got a match made in heaven.

Is this out of stock again since James's inquiry? or have you not gotten the expected shipment from 3/23? At any rate, when will this be in stock again?

Hey Jon,

Unfortunately we're still waiting on our shipment from the vendor.

Sometimes they come in on time, other times we have to wait a bit longer.

Shoot me an email if you'd like me to notify you when they come in stock.

The included stuff suck is of the type that you use to inflate the pad, correct?

Hey James,

This pad will come with the proper stuff sack that also doubles to inflate the pad as well.
