Therm-a-Rest made the MondoKing Sleeping Pad nice and thick so you can sleep like a baby when you hit the sack in camp. Four inches of air and foam cushioning soothe your weary muscles, and the fabric shell feels soft against your skin in case you bed down sans sleeping bag. Unscrew the air valve and this pad deflates to a surprisingly reasonable size when it's time to head home.

  • Polyester shell material is smooth and highly resistant to both abrasions and punctures
  • Dual air valves allow you to quickly deflate this pad when you need to pack up camp
  • Massive dimensions and foam-core internal padding make for a luxurious sleeping surface
  • Included stuff sack keeps this pad contained for easy storage

Very Comfortable

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Purchased two of these to replace Wenzel pads that we have used for years and have been discontinued. My wife and I used them six nights on cots during a boat camping trip on Yellowstone Lake. What a great pad! Self inflates quickly, didn't need to add any air. In fact my wife released some air to make it more comfortable for her. They appear to be well made, are easy to deflate and roll up and store easily in the included stuff sack. The large size was perfect for use on our military style cots and made a bed as comfortable as our pillow top is at home. Look forward to many years of use.

Patch kit was not included. :~( Had to purchase that from another web site.

Is the R value really 11.5? What tempature is that good for?

The r-value really is 11.4 ....shockingly high I know!

Unfortunately there are a lot of variables involved on what temperature this would work for. Your sleep system as a whole is what I'd be looking at. But this would be a sleeping pad that has the best r-value and would offer the most insulation.

Shoot me an email anytime you have questions!
