Sleep on it at home too.

    Car Camping Luxury

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I definitely wouldn't consider this pad for backpacking since its' bulky and heavy. But boy this is unbelievably comfortable in a tent or truck! The foam wrapped around the air cell is almost like sleeping on a Backcountry Tempurpedic. The price is a bit steep but it's self inflating and a luxurious night's rest.

    More Comfortable Than it Looks

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This pad is heavy and bulky when rolled up, but upon unrolling it the pad looked too thin to be comfy and supportive. I slept on it for 10 nights on a recent camping trip and found it to be a lot more comfortable than it looks. The foam is supportive and kept my shoulders and hips off the ground. Unlike inflatable mattresses, it doesn't squeak and is comfortable for people who move around a lot at night. It is easy to inflate/deflate and it doesn't take 5 people to stuff it back into the bag.
