Is the exterior fabric smooth? Is it shiny or matte?

Hi Karen Hyder,

Thanks for the question. The material associated with The North Face Winter Warm Tight is mostly Nylon and Polyester so it will at least have a pretty smooth feel to it. It will also be a bit shiny, but only in more intense light as a reflection.

I have been looking for a WARM running tight when I came across The North Face Winter Warm Tight. It was a cold morning (20 degrees) and still pretty dark outside. I went for my 6.5 mile run and my legs were toasty warm the whole time. The tight did not fall, slip or ride up the entire run. And the extra fabric near the lower legs helped to keep the chill off. I liked them so much I got another pair. A really must have gear for cold winter runs!
