So your son is already a minimalist, and by that we mean he prefers to wear a T-shirt and flip-flops in winter. We can’t help you dissuade him from doing so, but The North Face Boys’ Vosko Triclimate Jacket is a great compromise when winter demands more. Why? Because it has a light, removable fleece liner jacket that he can wear combined with the shell when the weather is cold and wet, and he can wear either one by itself when conditions aren’t so bad.
- Breathable HyVent material of the outer shell, features fully sealtaped seams, and durable water repellant coating deal with the wet
- Mesh lining on outer shell draws moisture away from skin to prevent a cold, clammy feeling when he wears the shell without removable liner
- Removable, hooded fleece liner jacket acts as light insulation for added warmth
- EZ Zip zipper can be inserted at an angle and rotated into the vertical position

I bought this jacket for my son. Last year he had a similar version, but he has grown and needed a bigger size. It comes with a removable lining that you can wear either the shell or the lining by itself depending upon the weather.

I like the coat, the only problem is that the picture shows the details on the coat being red and when I recieved it they were not. I am a huge North Face fan and I know the jacket measures up but I picked this one based on the color.

My 7 year old really loves his new coat. I'm a huge Patagonia fan but decided to give The North Face a try and I'm glad I did. The real test will come in January when he hits the slopes. I have no doubt it will measure up.
