Lace up The North Face Men's Vindicator Mid GTX Hiking Boot for rugged multi-day trips and soggy off-trail outings. A gusseted tongue and a Gore-Tex membrane create an impenetrable barrier against moisture and debris, while the Northotic ergonomic footbed, a nylon shank, and a grippy Vibram sole give you the support and stability you need for rocky, muddy trails.
If you want a good looking boot thats comfortable, water resistant and light weight at a good price, this is it!!! Comfort right out of the box, Used them for a week touring Spain, didn't suffer the hotspots I usually get with a new boot. Very light! You wont be dissapointed!!!
I had a pair like these a few years ago - they did stretch some but it was not alarming at the rate in which they did. I have found TNF to size a littler generous compared to most European competitors.
The moment these vindicators arrived at my door step I felt Lucky. I was scheduled for a three day hike in the Central Cascades of Washington State. The weather was not promising, so I knew I had to have some new quality Hiking boots. I immediately laced up my new Vindicators and loaded up my gear and headed for a quick cup of starbucks for the drive to the mountain trails. whooWee... it rained and was cold and on I went with a map an a compass and gear. I had a sense of calm about me because these Great boots made the entire hike a breeze. My feet stayed dry and warm ( I also had new hiking socks) and this allowed me to totally focus on my navigating skills. The rest is just about being out in the wilderness with Great gear and enjoying the good life of God's great creation. I dislike city life so I head out further and further each hike and God willing I will hike for many years to come. Now, back to these Vindicators, I would hike anywhere and anytime in these Great and Affordable Hiking boots by NorthFace. Backcountry had a good deal on them and had my size too! I highly recomend these for long or short day hikes, these boots are light and water proof for $ 119.00 Bucks. The name Vindicator fits these boots perfectly!!

Just took these boots on their first trip into the backcountry. Very happy with how they performed, to be honest my trip (which involved snow shoeing and camping on top of snow) was probably outside the intended use of this boot, but they still performed well. My feet did get wet at the end of the day, but I attribute this to my gaiters that weren't waterproof. The Vibram sole was amazing! No indications or wear or tear on the bottom, and during some rock hopping on a river, it proved to have terrific grip. There is a little wear on the toe of the boot, but this is likely from my snow shoes. I really love these boots, they break in quick. I have pretty high arches, so I'll probably get an insert for that.
Awsome hiking boots. Whether a day hike or backpacking in montana for several days, these boots will do the job. Kept me dry and were immensely comortable.
I loved my last pair of North Face boots and I love this pair. Completely versatile. Great for hiking , great for wearing around town. Squeak a little on hard surfaces but what the heck, they're made for the dirt/mud. Over all awesome boots.
Wore these boots on a ski trip. I hiked through some very deep snow (with Gators) and went on a 5 hour snowmobile tour in them. They kept me warm an comfortable without all the bulk of typical snow boots. I was impressed that my feet didn't sweat with the Goretex. They are very lightweight and have great traction.
I have a very narrow and long foot and these work great. I had to go with one size smaller than my NIke running shoes.
have North Face adrenaline both in Hiking boot, and low style. Found out that style is discontinued...Is this style similar? I like the ridge in the insole part of the boot, light weight of boot.
Dave Dean,I am familiar with the Adrenaline you have been using. Compared to the Vindicator they are pretty similar in styling and with features.Waterproofing: Both have Gortex Lacing: This style has tabs instead of eyelets. You will not notice a difference in this category. Insole: The Vindicator uses what TNF calls Norhodic footbed. It should be the same one you have in your Adrenaline. Take a look at http://www2.thenorthface.com/ap/technologies/technologies-FO18.htmlSole: Uses a more aggressive (larger lugs) Vibram sole. If anything I see this as an upgrade.Shank: Both shoes have a synthetic shank for added rigidity.Fit: I have not tried the Vindicator on. From pictures it does look more rugged all the way around. Possible a little wider and higher volume. Bottom line: It looks very similar and the Adrenaline sounds like it worked very well for you. Pick up a pair, try them out, and post a review.Mahalo, Sumo
Really solid shoe. Comfortable and well made. I got the discontinued color and saved some bucks and still felt good about it. I did get a little sore on my left ankle after wearing them all day the first day, but after I broke them in for a day or two the soreness went away. They seem to fit right one. I would say these easily rate with $200 shoes and I recommend them.
Do you need to prep these before setting out on the trail? Do they come factory sealed? I know you have to break them in but i am wondering about waterproofing seal or what not...
I like North Face boots and the Vindicator is another good one. I wear them every day and usually buy two or three pair to rotate them. I gave these a four star instead of five only because of the sole. They squeak when you walk. All I can figure out is the black layer wore off of the bottom in one spot on each boot and shows an orange material under the black. That spot seems to be the noise maker. On the upside; great quality, great comfortable fit, light weight and waterproof.
