Better to have it and not need it then to need it and not have it.
The North Face Men's Verto Pro Jacket is so light and compressible that you can take it on any rock climbing adventure whether it's a bouldering session or a multipitch extravaganza. This is the type of jacket you want when foul weather rolls in. A waterproof HyVent 2.5L membrane covers the hood, shoulders, and sleeves to help keep you dry in rainy weather, and the windproof nylon ripstop body utilizes a DWR coating for water-resistant protection on the rest of your torso. Elastic bindings over the hem, cuffs, and helmet-compatible hood ensure a snug fit without adding much weight, and the zippered chest pocket doubles as a stow pouch so you can simply clip this jacket to your harness once the weather brightens up.

- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
Unfortunate it was discontinued. This jacket falls in line with the reliability of other Summit Series products I own from TNF. In light rain this jacket provides a great layer of protection. The torso sheds water, and is water resistant while the shoulders arms, and hood are close to water proof. Super lightweight, and perfect for long adventurers. I have only used it in summer mountain conditions. Would not expect to pack it in the winter.
