An offset front zip stays away from your mouth and handwarmer pockets keep your digits toasty. The North Face included a RECCO avalanche rescue reflector should you get caught in an in-bounds slide, and a lift pass clip to make getting on the chair hassle-free.

Something a hell of a lot heavier than this. I'd say a heavyish down jacket from North Face or Mountain Hardwear would do the trick, but you'll have to shop around and do some research. Expect to pay upwards of $250.
