When you need to move quickly in the mountains and need to maintain a high warmth-to-weight ratio, look to The North Face Vengeance Mittens. Minimal seams take the weight down while boosting warmth. The outer is made of waterproof Gore-Tex Pro 3-layer fabric, while the palms are made of durable and grippy perforated Pittards goatskin leather. Those take care of any wet weather and hold up to abuse. To enhance warmth, The North Face added 100-gram PrimaLoft Gold synthetic insulation. A removable Polartec Wind Pro liner ensures even more winter protection and, on its own, provides coverage with a bit less heat when you're working hard. Full-length gauntlets prevent anything from going up where it shouldn't be, and the removable wrist leashes let you remove the gloves temporarily without having to worry about them getting lost in the snow.
