Where winterwear meets luxury.
The North Face combined modern styling with winter protective features in its Men's Venesborg Triclimate Jacket for your urban commute through blizzards and storms. The Black Wool variant of this jacket uses a HyVent 2-layer membrane with fully taped seams to block moisture and release excess heat, and its wool and polyester face-fabric blend is as warm as it is plush. For the Black variant, The North Face added a third layer to the HyVent membrane for increased durability against daily wear-and-tear situations. Its polyester shell is comfortably cozy while you drive to work. Both styles have a nylon taffeta lining that slides easily over the removable liner. And the removable liner uses 700-fill down insulation to warm you on the coldest nights without adding excess weight.
The Venesborg features a fully adjustable hood to seal out strong gusts of wind, or you can remove it entirely for sunny days that seem colder than stormy nights. The removable liner has an adjustable drawcord at the hem to keep it in place when blustery breezes try to sneak up your body. And you have enough pockets, including one for your tablet, to keep everything safe as you walk through storms that even deter the mailman.

- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
I was looking for a warm winter coat that had some style as well. After a long search for an insulated pea coat, I came across this jacket. I'm a long time north face customer so I expected quality and I was not disappointed. The liner/jacket combo is quite warm. It's in the teens today in Chicago and I threw this over a simple T-shirt. Didn't feel much of anything. Stopped the wind cold.
I also like the abundance of pockets. There's even a pocket designed just for your tablet. Warmth without excessive bulk,
plenty of storage, quality construction and classic style make this a great choice. Pricy, but worth every penny for cold-climate urban commuters that want style and function. Highly recommended.
