The North Face Women's Velocitee ¼-Zip Shirt has many uses when you're camping at the base of the 14ner and you have to get up at three in the morning to start your summit-in-a-day trek. Unzip the Velocitee's front zipper and slip into your sleeping bag—this way you won't even have to get dressed when your alarm goes off. A drop-tail hem in back provides a bit of extra coverage on steep scrambles, and this lightweight shirt layers well under a softshell or rain jacket when the clouds roll in.
Bottom Line: Bag another 14ner.

I am suspicious to evaluate TNF items because I am a number one fan of them! The The North Face Velocitee 1/4-Zip Shirt is so comfortable and warm that despite its lightness I did not need a extra fleece sweater for the first time in my life. I dont understand what technology is put on this shirt but it kept me warm with no need for any other layers witch makes the skiing in extreme cold weather much more comfortable! And as it fits quite well and is sort of stylish I ended up wearing it for after ski also Totally avoids odors¦

Bought this as an early Christmas present for the wife as we're going to be visiting some climates far more chilly than we're used to. Since buying it, she wears it around the house, to the grocery store, walking the dog...everywhere. It has become her "go to" item of clothing and I think she just looks for the slightest dip in temperature to throw it on. Can't recomment it enough.

True to size, super thin material. Good for layering. Nothing fancy about the design. All in all a practical albeit boring shirt.

The The North Face Velocitee 1/4-Zip Shirt is extremely comfortable as well as thin and light. Its great for working out in but beware it moves around a lot. I wouldn't recommend wearing anything other than a shell over it. If you try to put a fleece or merino layer over, it bunches and can become quite uncomfortable. It's a great stand alone piece for working out when you don't need a lot of layers.

I ordered the shirt in black and it is a great item. The size runs true to other North Face items. I was surprised at how thin the material is, though it will be great for layering!
