When you hike in winter, sometimes the snow just isn’t deep enough to bother with snowshoes, yet your regular hiking boots would just get soaked—The North Face made the Women’s Vanton Winter Boots for those occasions. Lace up these waterproof, insulated winter boots, and your feet will stay warm and dry as you tromp up the mountain. The North Face’s Heal Cradle and TPU shank stabilizes and supports the heel and foot absorbs impact. The grippy rubber outsole features Ice Pick temperature-sensitive lugs for enhanced traction.

Bottom Line: A little snow doesn’t put an end to your hiking season.

Sorry Mandy! We aren't carrying this particular boot any more. We have lots of other boots in stock, but this one is no longer available.

keeps your tootsies toasty

Love these boots. Bought these to wear for snow shoeing and taking my pup winter hiking. They are 100% waterproof, and extra warm. As they are full height boots, they are very stiff around the heels and ankles. The ice-pick technology on the soles is truly astonishing. I've walked through ice patches that would have normally been quite treacherous with full confidence. I have them in the khaki/cherry, and get non-stop compliments on them.

Nice boot but....

By:
December 21, 2009

Seems like a nice boot, lightweight, plenty warm but the toes are too pointy and pressed on the side of my big toe. They are not very supportive in the ankle area, and they lack a gaiter ring. They seemed like a good fit with my MSR lightning ascent snowhoes, microspikes and crampons, so if you don't need so much ankle support and have a pointy foot you'll probably like them.

Great boot all around!

I bought these boots for my daughter for using in deep snow in Vermont. She says that they are very comfortable and did not hurt her feet at all, even breaking in. We were worried that since the boot was tall it may cut into her leg. She also says they are extremely warm. Great boot all around! Exactly what I would expect from North Face.

Great boots

By:

These boots are awesome. They have plenty room throughout the toe area. Plenty warm and very, very lightweight which I like. They also have great treads. Knock on wood...I haven't thrown out a hip yet trying to catch myself from falling.

I think they are fairly true to size, I would have gone with the 9.5 if I'd kept them, that accommodated a heavy sock and gave enough room that my toes wouldn't be jammed up esp on a descent. I wear a 9 in shoes but my hikers are 9.5.

I found that they run pretty true to size. I went to try them on at a retail store and wore the same size as I normally do.
