They do have some padding but they are by no means motocross boots. I don't imagine she will be riding too hard so they should be ok.

I purchased for my Granddaughter for riding her dirtbike. They must run small because I ordered a size larger than she's wearing in shoes/boots now & had to send them back for a larger size. They are warm, stylish, and perfect for her to learn to ride in.. Offer warmth & protection, but have enough flexibility to not hamper her movement while shifting. The motocross boots come next.... I'd love to have a pair of these for myself! She loves them too!
