Triumph Anorak Jacket - Men's

The North Face used as few seams as possible in the Triumph Anorak Jacket’s 2-panel construction, and completely sealed the rest to make it incredibly waterproof and lightweight for climbing and other alpine ventures. The waterproof breathable HyVent DT is a smart barrier that blocks out cold air and moisture while it expels sweaty water vapor so you can worry about your moves on the mountain and nothing else. It also weighs in at just under 6oz, so your pack can stay light. With a performance fit and fully adjustable hood and hem, you won’t even feel it as you bag your first fourteener. On the descent, the laminated hood and elastic cuffs will barricade the snow as it creeps in from the south, or up from your skis.

Bottom Line: Feel the Triumph as you conquer the climb.

Best Rain Jacket Ever

This is a totally waterproof jacket that is lighter than most windbreakers. Now you have no excuse not to bring a rain jacket with you on your next epic adventure. It might be bluebird now, but you never know!!! For those who are fans of the uber-light high-tech "Holy Grail" type products I think this is the bomb!!!

Hi Does anybody know the breathability and "waterproofness"

Hi

Does anybody know the breathability and "waterproofness" of this jacket ?

I'm running the UTMB and they recommend a minimum 10.000 Schmerber and maximum 13 RET (which is probably a French metric).

thanks
Andrew

Hey Andrew,

25psi is actually even better than 10k waterproofing and it is also very breathable, should work great.

Tougher than you may think

I used it snowboarding in up to 50 mph winds with no problems. It kept me warm and dry the entire time. I had a mid weight base layer and fleece under it and it kept me warm down to 16 degrees of windy coldness. I wouldn't recommend it for snowboarding because of the lack of snow skirt, but if it can withstand that kind of weather I trust it for hiking.

for the weight, size, and it does keep you dry. this is my shell for day trips.I've had this coat for two years now and it always comes with me and still keeps me dry even after 100's of times compressing it and wearing in the rain.I'm 5'7 140lb, take it in a small, and can fit my down Nitrous Jacket under it.two great peices of gear that keep me warm and dry.
