Description

There's no way she's cold now!

The North Face designed the Girls’ Transit Down Jacket as a plush, luxuriantly warm coat to keep your girl warm after a long ski day or during long chilly walks around town. Satin-smooth nylon, 550-fill down insulation, and a big cushy hood keep the shivers away no matter how low the thermometer drops. Remove the Transit Down Jacket’s hood in drier, warmer weather for just the right amount of warmth and coverage.

I bought my daughters these jackets in the grey and the navy. I thought I was going to be thrilled with the quality since I paid a pretty penny for them. I have been disappointed with the quality of the fabric. I feel that it is too thin and it looks cheap. Especially the grey color. the jacket is all wrinkled in the back where you tend to sit on it. If the material were a bit heavier or thicker it would look a lot richer. The hood on this jacket is also small. My daughter complains that it does not fit. I've purchased cheaper jackets in the past with better results. One nice feature is that they are not heavy and they have tapering around the wrists so that the cold does not go up. Other than that I would not recommend this jacket for the price..

Northface is great, wonderfully warm, but I just could not get over how shiny this jacket was. I am 5'3" and 120 -- and I thought I would try the girls large -- it was too small in the shoulders(and I don't have broad shoulders). An extra large girls would probably had fit, but as I said the shiny fabric was a no go. Went with the NF women's destiny instead which I found for less $ in a local store.
