Trust The North Face Men’s Trajectory Hybrid Jacket to regulate your temperature and keep you dry on rainy trail runs and cool morning hikes. This coat mixes ultralight waterproof breathable Hyvent DT to block precipitation and lightweight knit mesh for breathability. The fully adjustable, full-time hood has a rear gate to vent heat and rolls away for warmer weather. Reflective logos keep you visible in low light.

Bottom Line: Travel fast and light in supreme comfort.

Running Jacket

By:
January 2, 2010

It is lightweight but it doesn't breath well in cold weather under rigorous aerobic activity. I got it for winter runs and it is soaked inside after almost every run. I now run with the zipper only half zipped.

Replacement for my worn out Flight Series jacket

By:
January 14, 2010

I got wrong size and replaced it. Instead of the Trajectory Hybrid I got the older version Flight Series which actually I was trying to replace. This was a newer model of the Flight Series and the one thing I did not like is they got rid of the zipper vents under the arms which eliminates the build up of moisture when you exercise considerably. Also they did not carry the rip cord material all around the jacket. The back has a thinner material and I hope it is somewhat water resistant for light shower type problems. I was pleased with the older Flight Series and hope this is as good. One thing I learned is that these materials they are made of do reqire some washing to remove the body sweat and oil. Otherwise the coatings on the jacket deteriorate. I am hoping to get as many hiking days out of this one as my older worn out Flight Series. Five stars are if it performs like the previous.

I got a medium and had to send it back for a large. I normally wear 40-42 in coats and this one runs small.

A medium will work fine. They fit about the same.

Not for hard running

By:
December 30, 2009

Bought the jacket primarily to run in light rain after reading a review on a running website. Kept the rain out but really got soaked by sweat on the inside. It was 50 degrees outside, but felt like I was running in a sauna. Very lightweight with thin fabric that's supposed to breathe. Probably best used for hiking, non-aerobic activities. Will explore eVent fabrics next.

not for the cold

By:
September 21, 2009

i got this for winter mountaineering, since the north face website said its good for aerobic cold condition, but its pretty much a tech style rain jacket for damp trail runs, NOT for the cold.
