The North Face Trailhead 4 Bx Tent 4-Person 3-Season - 2008 BCS

My father and I went to the Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park in the north east corner of California for some Steelhead fishing the day after x-mas and spent the first two day's battling the rain which began to fall just as we started setting up camp. We had a tarp in the trees which covered all but the back side of the tent which received direct rain and the top of the tent was dripped on by the tarp there was some water build up through the ground and some good wind but nothing got inside we were dry and comfortable. The rain fly works well to get the water away from the tent the floor is very water tight the zippers look like they will last and the poles look solid also.

It is North Face tent so I know it is good....I am in Iowa & it is 0 degrees and about a foot of snow on the ground so I have not had a chance to use it yet.

That said, I have set it up (indoors) and it looks nothing like the tent pictured on the web-page. It is the right tent, but backcountry.com used a picture from the larger style of this tent, which is completely different looking! The spec's listed are correct....but. Somethings, all function aside, a person has to like how they looks...Tents, guns, golf clubs....lol...my girlfriend!

I almost returned it immediately... I am disappointed...but will wait until spring to see how I like it after I get to use it.
