Take flight wearing the Men’s The North Face Torpedo Jacket and thank the temperature regulation mesh panels for keeping you cool as the miles melt away under your feet. Ample pockets mean your energy gels are close at hand, and the streamlined, articulated fit helps you pump your arms with freedom so you finish that last ascent looking strong.

  • Reflective logos front and back keep you visible to car headlights at night
  • Glow-in-the-dark zip pulls are easy to find at a glance so you aren’t fumbling while you’re booking
  • Batten down the hatches or let cool air circulate around using the hem cinch adjustment
  • A Sanitized Silver treatment on the mesh paneling helps to keep fabric odors to a minimum

Bottom Line: Stay cool and covered up when you’re hot to trot.

The North Face Torpedo Jacket Review

A comprehensive test and review of The North Face's Torpedo Jacket. Overall our tester felt this jacket lived up to the marketing hype - and was pleased with the performance.

Failed zipper

By:

I noticed the zipper unzipping from the bottom the first or second time I wore this. Now it will not stay zipped at all. It looks like part of the tab that slides into the zipper handle partialy broke - It must be made of paper. Otherwise, the jacket looks like it would be very good for what I wanted.

Great for the price!

Great jacket for trail running in Vancouver I use it all the time and have had no problems. I am not sure how you could break the zipper since its a very smooth zip and the jacket all around feels great!

its definitely an ATHLETIC cut jacket but unfortunately this is why it gets 4 stars. If you are a larger Athletic built male you may have a hard time with this jacket. I am 185 pounds 6'1'" and the Medium fits perfect in the arm length but its almost too tight in the chest area.

other than that its a perfect jacket for those cooler wet days out on the trails and since it packs up into the palm of my hand its perfect for minimalist runners.

Useless

The first time I wore this North Face torpedo the zipper broke rendering the Jacket useless. The zipper bottom has an extremely weak design. Bad.
