The quick drying, thermally efficient North Face Men’s TKA 100 Pant begs to be with you whenever you have to wear pants. Split leg openings allow for a comfy fit over shoes and a back pocket holds keys or cash. Sideseam hand pockets are lined with brushed tricot for safe harbor in cold weather and an internal waist drawstring makes sure you won’t accidentally poison anyone with crack.

Bottom Line: Comfort is king.

Warm and Comfy

By:

These pants are warm and comfortable on a chilly morning around the campsite. Mediums fit me well (not loose or long at all) and I am 5'11" size 32. They make great ski pant liners too.

Too long.

By:
January 28, 2010

I am surprised since most North Face gear fits me pretty good, these pants are simply too long! I wear medium in all my North Face Jackets and tops, but these pants in a Medium are about 6 inches too long at the bottom of each leg. My wife helped me out and hemmed them so the heals dont drag, so they now work a little better. In terms of waist, they fit a 5'10'' medium built guy well. They might be just a little snug around the thighs, but other than that these pants are a great piece of gear to have on hand under some snowboarding pants on a day out to the mountain.

I'm thinking to buy one for DH, he needs a new pair of sweats.

I'm thinking to buy one for DH, he needs a new pair of sweats. Do you think it will work out well as sweats (not liner)? He is 6" tall, 180 lbs, is XL too big? Thank you.

These are really comfortable pants, and are nice and warm, but plenty lightweight. XL will be way too big, get a medium - I'm 6'1" 180 and that's what I wear.

I got these babies as a Christmas present and they are a lifesaver up here in Maine. They're warm, comfortable, and great for layering. However, they are a bit long (I'm 5'10" and the cuff on the smalls drags on the floor).

I gave these pants to my Bro In Law for Christmas, because he asked for some Air Jordan SweatPants, and we just couldn't have that...
Said Brother-In-Law is also a penny pincher, and since he's donned these furry pants, he's refused to turn the heat on higher than 66 degrees.
Now I have to buy my sister some.

I totally agree, its the perfect pant for lounging. However, if its windy it wont stop the chill so layer up.
I am 5"9' 160lb and the medium fits perfectly

Gave a pair to my husband and son for Christmas -- both loved them, My son works from his home in Colorado and he plans on wearing them inside while working and also outside in the CO weather, Great that they work for both. Size medium fit perfectly for both of these 6' 180 to 200 lb. men, Great pant which are very versatile!

synthetic.. the only natural items of this kind that will keep you warm even when wet that are out there are made of wool. These will dry faster than wool and are much lighter.

I really dig these as super comfy sweat pant style loungers that double as super functional in any conditions. Its easy to always put them in the bag for big trip to the mountains.

Super cozy. Best for slim legs. If you've got the right build, these pants are awesome for layering or just staying snug.

I'm tall, but not fat

I think I'm the only three star in a field of five stars. I have two issues with these pants. 1) I am 6'3", and as such I almost always need XL pants. These fit me perfectly in length, but there is so much room in my crotch, I feel like MC Hammer designed them. My wife bought me these, with the hopes I'd use them as a mid layer underneath a pair of XL Outdoor Research Credo Pants. But because of the material in the grown, it's a no go. I need to wear these pants on their own. They are comfy, and I love wearing them around the house, but a good mid layer, they are not. 2) They are very static clingy. I am always feeling them cling to my leg. I am going to give them a wash to see if that helps (only warn them once so far), but out of the box, I didn't love that. But, they are comfy. I'll give them that.

TKA 100

By:
December 31, 2007

These pants rock. they are very comfortable, very lightweight but warm, and do not restrict movement or add any bulk when used as a mid-layer. Which is what jeans tend to do. They r also great to wear around the house or on a road trip to your favorite mtn

Nuclear Option

By:
November 29, 2008

I got these for my son who works in the midwest, standing outside all night on cold concrete! He saves them as a "nuclear option" for the iciest of nights and they do their job well. He loves how soft and cozy they are.

I've snowboarded in a pair of these for a couple seasons. Very comfortable, not too heavy, not too light, perfect for most all temperature conditions except the bitter cold or super warm spring days. Good elastic
waistband with drawstring. Great pockets. stylish.

So comfortable

By: Backcountry.com Employee
June 19, 2008

This fleece underlayer is very soft and warm. They're not cut for performance fit - instead they are a bitter looser fitting, with no elastic around the ankle area. I used them as part of a layering system in very cold weather, down to -20F. And most impressive was that even after 16 days of continual use, they kept the smell at bay.
