THE ONLY PROBLEM WITH THESE TYPE OF JACKETS IS THAT YOU CAN'T WEAR A WHITE T-SHIRT UNDERNEATH. IT LEAVES THOSE ANNOYING FUZ BALLS.

If you compare sizing charts straight across, the chest, waist and hip measurements are similar. However, this is designed to fit a child, so the sleeves may be more proportioned to a child's frame rather that an adult's, but could you "swap" this for a w's small..All the numbers point to yes.

cute, lightweight, great north face quality. seems to be constructed well and made from a good, breathable material. i live in las vegas so i didn't need a super heavy coat for my 3 year old. this one is perfect for early mornings playing on the swing set and for preschool. if you are looking for a thick, heavy winter coat look elsewhere- this is not it. as for sizing: i was undecided on whether to order the xxs or the xs. i have a big 3 year old. he is about 43 inches tall and weighs 45 lbs. in baby gap he wears a 4t or 5t shirt and a 4t pant. mini boden he is a 4 in pants and a 3/4 shirt. anyway, if i wanted this to last for 2 seasons i should have ordered the xs. i went with the xxs and it is plenty long enough, big enough and sleeves are long enough, but it will only work for 1 season. it will fit with a long sleeve shirt underneath, probably not a sweater though. love the swamp green. it isn't as green as it looks in the photos. it's pretty neutral and will work well and match with most things.

This little fleece is very good for those early morning fall trips to the mountain. My kid gets all of the warmth and breath ability he needs when we are working up a sweat.

I ordered a SMALL for my skinny 8 year old and it was too small. It is very soft and comfortable but no logo on the back. Also be warned, Backcountry won't exchange it. You have to pay to send it back and then re-order a new item. Therefore paying shipping three times!! rip off
