Description

The name says it all.

Jackets like The North Face Men's Think About It Insulated Jacket are born of the most punishing conditions on the planet, from whipping wind to bitter cold. This jacket serves as a semi-insulated wind jacket, designed with 40g of lightweight, toasty-warm PrimaLoft insulation at the core. An attached hood protects your head when you're far away from shelter and this jacket packs down into an internal stow pocket for maximum stashability.
  • Durable 15D nylon ripstop fends off the hazards of life lived in the outdoors
  • Synthetic PrimaLoft One insulation has a high warmth-to-weight ratio and won't lose it's loft if it gets wet (unlike down insulation)
  • Body is partially insulated to encourage core warmth and keep weight low
  • Elastic-bound cuffs and an elastic hem keep drafts from creeping in

It was a present for my boyfriend. When he saw the jacket, he said: "It is very light, i will have cold". But until today he hasn´t complained about cold.

There is no prima loft in the arms (this should be written in the Backcountry description of the jacket) or hood only 2 layers of nylon so if a cold wind is blowing your arms get cold. The zips to the pockets catch so you need to hold the top of the zip with the other hand while zipping down one at a time to ensure it doesn't catch. This would have been a really good lightweight insulated jacket with insulation in the arms but unfortunately it's really disappointing. I'll be looking for another jacket!!!

I thought I would like this jacket but it's way too thin and the jacket doesn't look as nice as it looks in the pic. I own TNF redpoint jacket from 2007 and it's my favorite jacket. The primaloft is very warm and comfortable. The think about it jacket felt more like a rain jacket. Couldn't really determine if it's warm...Couldn't feel the primaloft like I do in my redpoint jkt. I didn't like the logo position (it's a little lower than the usual tnf logo position). I also didn't like the zipper location...

Since I liked the redpoint jacket so much, I ordered a new. My old one is a large and it's a little baggy so a new one in a medium should be good.
