Bundle of warmth for your bundle of joy.
The North Face Infant Boys' Thermoball Hooded Jacket wraps your little boy in wondrous warmth on crisp autumn mornings and bone-chilling winter evenings. PrimaLoft Thermoball insulation traps precious body heat with its high-loft, down-like synthetic clusters, preventing his core temp from dipping while he's accompanying you on daily errands and hanging in his car seat during freezing-cold weather. The fixed hood is fully insulated, making it ideal for layering over an infant-sized beanie to prevent him losing all of his body heat through his head. Other cool features include embroidered logos for snazzy style, as well as a contrast front zip and inner lining for bright pops of color.

I wanted a warm, yet thin jacket for my 16-month-old -- one that wouldn't create too much puff in the carseat and would keep him warm without overheating him. It's light and cozy; I've checked my son's torso and hands after taking it off him, and he seemed toasty but not sweaty after playing outside for 20-30 minutes in 25-30 degree temps. The little hand covers are great for quick trips to the car and into the house, too. Love that for those few seconds, we don't have to deal with the battle of putting on mittens. The sizing seems pretty accurate and he definitely has room to grow into it throughout the season. We have some near 0 temps coming this week, so we'll see how it performs in the deep freeze, but we've loved this jacket so far!
Best jacket EVER
My son hates being hot and I don't want him to get cold! This jacket is warm and breathable enough for Vermont weather. Yes. Buy it. It's worth it.
Not recommended for Freezing Temps
I ordered to coat thinking it was appropriate for winter weather ie. being outside, playing in snow, freezing temps etc. Unfortunately, it is very thin and is not appropriate for that kind of weather. It's so hard to tell from the pictures and the descriptions as to what sort of weather it is appropriate for. Probably good enough to go to the store as the description says but not to be outside "for those bone chilling winter evenings" as the description states. Although it is definitely a nice coat and appropriate for chilly spring and fall days I wanted to write a review since that would have been helpful for me when I was trying to figure out if it was warm enough for freezing/snowy temps. Hopefully this helps others find the coat they are looking for their little one.
