Perfect outdoors AND the urban jungle
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: Runs large
Go down a size; I'm 6' 0" 180 lbs with a 41 inch chest(traditionally in between a medium and a large). I originally ordered a medium by just going off of the size chart but found it to be far too large and boxy in the body. I had to go with a small for it to fit through the body - there is a little range of motion restriction through the shoulders, but I didn't have much issue with it when going on a solo trip up in the boundary waters.
Outside of the size issue, this shirt is awesome - literally bomb proof. As I said earlier, I wore it in the boundary waters where you're canoing, portaging, hiking, fishing, and hacking down dead trees for firewood. No sign of wear or even dirt. Dried extremely quickly in the cuffs when pulling fish out of the water and dealing with rain - happy TNF got smart and didn't make this out of cotton otherwise I would've been a soggy raisin! It regulated heat quite well too - both of my trips were in the 50s-60s and this is pretty much all I needed. I enjoy that the collar is double walled with fabric so you can flip it up and it acts as a double insulator around the neck - well thought out.
I own 4 different colors (conifer green, utility brown, china blue, sullivan green) of this shirt out in the Minneapolis and St. Paul night life and received a ton of compliments - some chicks even asking if it was a designer brand.
Clearly it's perfect for the outdoors AND the urban jungle.
