This is my second North Face Syncline Shirt. The shirt fits well and is extremely comfortable. I wear this shirt more than any other in the winter.
According to the sizing chart there are 2 MIDIUM. Does Midium

Does Midium means US Size 34 or 32?

I bought this shirt for my dad and he has loved it. It's really soft and super comfortable and it looks nice enough to be considered a "dress up shirt" for him.

A question about the collar: The shirts I saw in a store were "open collars" not button-downs. I prefer the open collar, but all I find on "backcountry" are button-downs. Are open collar shirts available?

I love this shirt so much that I have purchased 4 of them over the years in different colors. Super soft yet still seems to breath a bit. I wear mostly to work work so qualifies as business casual possibly dress casual. Runs a little big.
I cut the tags off a while ago because they were pretty irritating
I cut the tags off a while ago because they were pretty irritating for such a comfortable shirt. Now I want another one, but I'm not sure what size it was, S or M. Anyone got one close by that they could measure the sleeve length on for me?

I measured top of the sleve to the end of the cuff...27" or 28.5" if you strech it...for a size large...great shirt.

I prefer the original Syncline shirt style instead of the newer style, but same great fabric. Very comfortable to wear, easy care, and unexpected benefit is that women love to touch this shirt! Honest! I have had a number of women ask me to touch these shirts, must be something about the perceived feel, and several asked for details on how to order for their husband/boyfriends, so TNF may have something going here.

A truly great shirt would make the women who copped a feel on you DUMP their boyfriends and husbands. Okay, just kidding -- this really is a great shirt and I wish I had a couple more of them.
