The North Face Men's Down Apogee Snorkel Jacket is made for people who ski in the coldest conditions and still value style. The Apogee is built with rivets and burly materials in high-abrasion spots that lend it not only great endurance but also a unique look. TNF uses goose down in place of a synthetic insulation that lends unsurpassed warmth and a far more luxurious feel. The adjustable volume hood is lined with faux fur and the built-in belt holds it all together.

Bottom Line: Go big, look good.

The North Face Apogee Snorkel Jacket Kicks Butt

I highly recommend this Jacket to any serious cold weather skier. I recently skied in some cold weather and wore only Polar Max turtle neck underneath never once got cold. This is no spring ski jacket for sure.

Perfect for skiing or just keeping warm

I love on the East Coast (Boston), so I am familiar with very cold weather. I was looking for a jacket that I could use for skiing and that I could wear on a daily basis throughout the winter, and I can honestly say that this jacket couldn't be better. This jacket is a solid as any parka that I have ever seen and is filled with down to keep out the cold, but it is not excessively bulky, which makes it perfect for skiing, too. It is filled with pockets and other useful organizational features (removable down-filled hood and iPod and phone pockets, for instance) is very rugged, and it looks great. A great all-purpose jacket/parka for the next 10 years, I'm sure. In fact, my only criticism is the weather over here, which has been too warm for me to get full use of this jacket, yet. It comes to something when I find myself actively hoping that it is cold outside!
