It doesn't matter if you plan to huck a slow three off an Alaskan spine or jib boxes in the rain, the Spineology Pant from The North Face keeps the cold wetness out so you can kill it everywhere. It's all about the three-layer Gore-Tex Performance Shell, which is the toughest, most impenetrable fabric out there and about the only one that can guarantee a genuinely dry day in any weather. And since it's cut in a baggy park fit, you can be sure that the shell won't inhibit your spins, jibs, and hiking abilities once you see the light outside the gates.

  • Gore-Tex Pro Shell 3L fabric keeps you dry in brutal, high-alpine storms and allows evaporating sweat to pass through the waterproof breathable membrane as you shred
  • Fully taped seams block water and melting snow from sneaking in through the fabric joints
  • Chimney Venting draws in cool air through the Stretch-Vent gaiters and dumps excess heat through the zippered side and inseam vents for ultimate temperature control
  • Water-resistant zippers and storm-proof flaps lock out wind and moisture
  • Leg gaiters hook to your boots and keep out fresh snow while shredding hard
  • Zip cuffs are easy to get over your boots and the reinforced kick patches prevent rips from your edges
  • Waist tabs keep the pant's baggy fit in check
  • Pant-to-jacket technology prevents snow-filled pants (with a compatible jackets from The North Face, sold separately)
  • RECCO Avalanche Rescue System may give you a better chance at being recovered inbounds and the Know Boundaries Snow Safety label reminds you of the ever-present risk

Bottom Line: A baggy pant with ultimate protection and breathability for shredding anywhere, anytime.

I would normally check for detailed info on a product before

I would normally check for detailed info on a product before I get it but I don't mind the discrepencies. The info here states all pockets are zippered. The left cargo pocket is zippered, the two hand pockets are zippered, right cargo is not neither are the back pockets. How did you guys make that mistake! ??

I have found numerous errors in the listings and I always check the manufactures site to verify the specs. If you do stumble across an error it is a good idea to let BC know so I can be corrected.

good snow board pants

These look like good snow board pants, have no instep reinforcement so I suspect for skiiers these would ware out over time. They are true to size, I have a 34 inch waist and the XL were way too big. They do have a nice baggy fit though and materials are nice.

Ok...once again on the right side where it says all the specs

Ok...once again on the right side where it says all the specs on the pants it says they're 3L Gore-Tex Performance Shell but in the listing under the item it says it's 3L Gore-Tex Pro Shell...which one is it...also I've got a pair of last years Bizzo pants which are 3L Gore-Tex Performance Shell.and I was wondering what the difference between the two are...thanks...:-)

Hey Steven, these pants are indeed Goretex "performance Shell". Both Pro shell and Performance shell utilize the same Goretex membrane, so they both have the same waterproof/breathability ratings, as far as the membrane is concerned. The basic difference between the two is that Pro shell has a different set of standards that companies must fall into in order for their product to be branded "pro shell" which is generally a heavier face fabric, a lighter laminated lining, and thinner seam taping. These things generally make a pro shell garment more durable and give it a slightly better breathability. Of course its mostly subjective to how deep your pocket book is, how much you care what others think, and whether you do your research or not (you can find garments labeled performance shell that utilize tiny seam tape and have heavy duty face fabrics (think 70D) that can be several $100's cheaper).
