The North Face South Forest Insulated Jacket - Girls' - 2009 BCS

My daughter just had to have a tnf jacket because everyone at her school had one...I can't afford full retail so I was so happy to find this site. I ordered this jacket in black and my daughter, who is 11, was thrilled! She is a little larger than most, not fat just stocky, and the xl was plenty big...I wear a womens medium and it even fits me so when she outgrows it, mama gets it! This year, I am getting her the denali so she will be in for a surprise. This coat kept her warm and we had some really cold days even though we are in the south. I think the coldest she went out in it was about 25 degrees and she was fine. Love this jacket and the detailing is very pretty and just girly enough but not overly so.

I purchased this jacket for myself - I normally wear a North Face women's small and ordered a girl's XL and it fits perfectly. This is a fantastic lightweight insulated jacket that offers good warmth for fall or winter weather. Don't expect it to get you through winter unless you live in a very moderate climate, though. The embroidery is a nice touch that makes the jacket stand out from others. I've gotten quite a few compliments on it. It's perfect for casual wear, but not too casual (I'd definitely grab it to wear to work on a chilly morning).

These jackets are so popular at my kid's school that she just HAD to have one. I refused to pay $100 for a jacket but when this one went on sale for just under $70 I told her she could use her college money to get it. She is very happy. It is a nice coat with pretty embroidery. But honestly, it is the same quality at the ones you can get at W*****t for around $20. But you know kids and it has to have that name on it. This jacket is not suitable for really cold weather as it is not very insulated but she has been wearing it in the 40-60 degree range and it has been warm enough. I do like the name tag inside and the quality is pretty good. The reason I gave it three stars is because of the price. Otherwise, a nice jacket with good embroidery and good quality.

This jacket is not recommended for cold Winter weather. Unfortunately, I had to return the jacket because I thought it was going to be insulated for the Winter months. It is a very cute, quilted, adequate jacket to wear in the Fall but, I was looking for a more insulated Winter jacket for my daughter.
