A multiple function boots, keeps you warm, and best is that it is waterproofed. great design too.. I got many compliments on the boots. however, I would recommend black as beige tends to gets dirty more. but highly recommend this boots.

Perfect Cold Weather Boot!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

In super cold conditions, walking in puddles, snow, mud, my feet remain warm, dry, and happy, these boots are awesome! Pretty toasty with a pair of wool socks. Fits nicely and easy to clean. I've gotten a ton of compliments on them, alternating between wearing them over skinny jeans and under looser pants.

Perfect Cold Weather Boot!

Pretty good boots

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought these boots for a snowy trip to the Italian mountains. They are pretty cute for insulated boots and kind of warm. They're very comfortable and with two pairs of socks (I ordered 1/2 size up) and a pair of toe heaters in, I could stand/stroll outside in the cold for a few hours. But on their own, the boots weren't as warm as I'd hoped. Lookswise, they are much better with pants legs tucked in; with pants legs untucked they just look like big black boots. Bottom line - if you want a bit of warmth and a bit of style, these boots are a good choice.

Like it!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These boots are definitely cute, especially over leggings. They are very warm, too! My one gripe is that they are very tight in the calves and I can't comfortably tuck any of my jeans (real skinny ones too) into them. I bought them to use at a snow camp I'll be working and they look like they'll hold up well (though I'll definitely need to break them in first!)

Bought as gift, here's her review

These boots are extremely cute and seem very well insulated. I'm excited to put these to the test when we finally get some snow. Only downsides are that they fit very snugly around the legs so they'll feel really tight unless you're wearing tights or very skinny jeans under them. This isn't as much of a problem for me since I wanted something that would look nice with a skirt while still protecting my feet from the snow. The boots are also made of suede on the leg and half of the foot portion, which I'm concerned won't hold up very well in deeper snow. I'll probably end up buying some waterproofing spray for it. Overall I'm very happy with these since it's so hard to find decent winter boots that don't look really bulky and unflattering. The North Face really delivered on these boots! I love how their women's stuff manages to look fashionable without sacrificing warmth!

Edit: according to the North Face website, these boots have already been treated to be waterproof! even better!

I love these and want to buy them, but...

I love these and want to buy them, but being of sturdy European stock I am concerned about the width of the shaft. I wish that boot manufacturers would include the measurement of the shaft opening! I need it to be at least 15" to fit comfortably. Anyone have this info?
