Love/Hate Relationship with North Face

So here's the thing. I love the look, feel, and warmth of these shoes but I can't stand the durability that The North Face is putting into their products. This is my second pair of shoes from them (first being the Hayden) that I've had horrible luck with the soles coming unglued. Attached is a pic of where they've started to fall apart. They've started to fall apart in same places on both shoes. Lame! I wore them for almost a month before they started falling apart. Great looking and warm shoe but super poor quality. Your call if you want to super glue them back together.

Great shoes, very comfortable right of the box. Note that these shoes are very warm, maybe too warm for some to keep on all the time in the house or outside of winter. Definitely work very well walking on ice or snow, but don't expect any miracles when walking on particularly slippery ice.

I got these a couple of weeks ago here in Utah, just in time for a big snowstorm. What better opportunity to test these babies out? 12" of snow and walking on campus, no problems at all with water or warmth. Extremely warm shoes, didn't notice cold at all with these and some merino wool socks. Great traction, they just struggle on ice a little bit but what do you expect? Extremely comfortable as well, 5/5, well done TNF!

They seem to size accurately, I am pretty regularly a size 12 and have had problems with past shoes not quite fitting. These fit perfectly right out of the box. Although I can't guarantee what "accurately" really defines, they match a size 12 in a pair of Adidas and Eccos I have.

Bought to replace an old pair of Merill Polar Moccasins and couldn't be more pleased, they are warmer, more comfortable and have much better traction. Probably the most comfortable shoe I have worn in awhile, I wear them with merino wool socks. My only complaint is because my arch is so high I end up with not enough shoe lace to make a full knot, but not a big deal. Even tried them with snow shoes and they work great although you would probably want gaiters to keep the snow out of your ankles.
