The slightly stretchy and versatile The North Face Women's Smarty Pants climb in the morning, hike in the afternoon, and kick back at the local watering hole, all without missing a beat. These close-fitting pants are ready for any adventure. The Smarty Pants' provide a close, but unrestricted fit so you can nail that big heel hook, stretch out on your yoga mat, or just kick back on your front porch in total comfort. Pull the Smarty Pants' cuffs up and hold them in place with the cuff fasteners when you want to go digging for clams. The North Face made these active pants with welted pockets on the hips and the rear.

Wonderfully comfortable, nice enough for work and around town, but also perfect for climbing and hiking! I'd recommend ordering a size down though, I ordered my usual size and had to exchange. They fit great out of the dryer but stretch out by the end of the day.

I purchased these pants in a size 4 hoping they would shrink. They did not, and I gave them to my sister (who is normally a size 6 or so). It's too bad, they look so good on her I wish I could fit into some but I cannot find a size 2 anywhere. (I am about 26" around and a little under 5'5 if that helps you any)
SO I'm not sure how to rate them...I guess 5 stars if you're not a small size.

Great fit, flattering, STRETCHY fabric. I've worn them everywhere.... hiking, technical climbing, even to work! They are also very comfortable and look good for travel. I bought two pair and will probably buy more. (My sporting goods store had two different colors - one more of a khaki green and the other a gray color).

I love the look of these pants! I wish I could give them a 5, but they rode so low on my hips that I was uncomfortable. Can you make them with just a little more rise? The roll-ups are great.

I tried these on in a store and immediately loved them. I bought two pairs, one in each color. They are so comfy and have just the perfect amount of stretch. They are cute rolled or let down. I could easily hike or run errands in them, and they'd be great looking either way. I think they're also slimming. I'm a tall person and the regulars were actually long enough (not usual for me.) I'd recommend these as an active or casual pant.
