Ok trail running shoes

These are not the best, nor the worst running shoes I've worn. Definitely not suited for road running (yeah, I know, they are not meant to be used for road running). For trail running, they are pretty good. They are supposed to have some Goretex, but don't be fooled, run through a bit of snow and your feet will get wet. For my first run with them I took them exclusively through snow and my feet were extremely cold and soaked within minutes (yes, the snow did come in through the fabric, not through the opening).

Second run I did very light running on ice. Pretty much the same result, not too soaked, but some water came in inside the shoe.

All in all, its fairly decent, I'm still keeping them. Here I am using them to do the first few moves of the nose in elcap. No, I didn't finish the climb solo.

Comfy

I like them. They are a good shoe to have on your feet all day. They can get a little warm in hot weather, but that is to be expected. The reason for not having a perfect score is the appearance. My personal opinion is that the yellow is a little loud, but you can't hold that against the shoe. I knew it when I bought it. Still can't give a perfect score.

Durable

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These shoes have been a great all around shoe. Great for trekking on slushy streets and support my foot well. Feet don't feel tired after a long day of standing.

Great choice!

I personally love these shoes, they are heaven compared to what i was wearing, i had Nike prior, and they were ok, but The North Face went above and beyond with these shoes in my opinion. I wear them daily, indoors, and outdoors, and couldn't be happier. I work on concrete floors and do a lot of walking and climbing stairs throughout the day, and these shoes offer great support without minimizing any comfort. I will definitely stick with North Face when it comes to buying shoes in the future.

Decent Shoe

This shoe has been great for both trail runs as well as easy day hikes in to areas where I go rock climbing. As a Gore Mountaintech, I always find it vital to have a Gore-Tex membrane for as much of my gear as possible. I have found that the products they have are second to none. These shoes have held up well and I look forward to getting more use out of them.
