Lace up The North Face Men\222s Sieve II Water Shoe the next time you head to the soggy northwest or the rainforests of Central America. The North Face gave this shoe a synthetic and mesh upper to allow water to flow through the shoe while sifting out debris and allowing your feet to breathe. The two-thirds length nylon shank gives you the stability you need when hiking on rough, wet terrain, and the Tenacious Grip rubber sole keeps you from slipping on smooth, damp surfaces. The molded EVA Northitic footbed ensures you stay comfortable on long hikes.
Bottom Line: Comfort for wet environs.

Would these be good for rafting? They are obviously a water shoe,
Would these be good for rafting? They are obviously a water shoe, but I need something that can get soaked, then dry out fairly quick so that I can wear them around camp as well. Is this a good fit or should I go with a sandal like keen or teva?

The Sieve is more of a hiker in my opinion. It does not have full drainage through the midsole, and for this reason I would not recommend it as a pure water shoe. Check out The North Face Padda - this is a true water shoe, and I think a much better footwear for rafting/boating.

I bought this shoe for a hiking trip in mexico. We haven't gone yet and I am wearing them around town. They are comfortable and light and look good with jeans. Great buy.

I was looking for some comfortable shoes that could be worn in and around the water with a firm sole. These shoes meet those requirements very well.
