Good for bad weather

Had an older pair that lasted four years, these are a little taller but the same basic fit. Really nice if you have high arches, there’s nice support inside them

Purchased these last month, they fit great, easy to walk in. One thing I noticed was the tongue did not fold well and created a hard surface on my shin with walking. I am still breaking in the fold to stay flat

Size up but not a full size

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

These seem great, but based on the reviews, I went up a full size, and they were way too big, even with thick socks. I'd recommend going up only a half size.

These are the best boots ever! I live in northern California. It doesn't snow here. However, the rainy season is pretty cold for my comfort. Regular rain boots keep my feet dry and freezing. Not fun when you need to run errands. These boots save the day. Not only are my feet dry but most importantly, they are nice and warm. After reading the reviews, I decided to buy one size up from my usual 8. They were way too big. Returned them for a size 8.5. Perfect fit. So, be cautious on the sizing. For some, sizing up a full size worked great. However, that wasn't the case for me. These boots are warm, comfortable, and stylish. Most definitely recommend them.

Love them butttt

I really like these but definitely size up! I want to wear thick socks because I live in MI. I didn’t read the reviews until I bought them and they are right. I got a 7 and needed an 8. Just bought another pair and am returning the 7’s

Best women's boot for all seasons

I wore my North Face Shellista boots for years until I somehow put a crack in the sole. Just had to buy this newer version and based on reviews, bought a full size larger. The new boot is the same dimensions as my previous boot and fits great. This has been my all-season go to boot for all-terrain casual walks, long day hikes, farm work. Comfortable, good support, long lasting.

Great boots runs small

These boots are great! The feel good and look good. I'm disappointed in the sizing. They run a whole size small. I am a true 9 and I got a 9.5. They fit fine with normal socks, but in the winter I wear winter socks (nothing crazy, but thicker than typical) and they don't fit in the boot. I'm going to keep them because they don't have a 10 and I like them that much. Hopefully they are warm enough I don't need to wear thicker socks. I live in MN. Can get pretty cold.

Cankles

I don?t know if these boots changed since all of the positive reviews, but I bought them based on the reviews and promptly returned both pairs. I bought two sizes because I listened to the sizing advice and went up a size - those were MASSIVE and I felt like a duck and they buckle out and give you undeniable cankles the size of swollen golf balls on both sides of your ankles. I bought my normal size and they fit fine with heavy socks. With cankles. Normal golf ball size cankles. No thank you. They generally weren?t that comfortable either - a lot of weird extra space in the foot and I have high insteps so that?s rarely a problem. The treading didn?t seem that great either. I went with the Helly Hansen Garibaldi VIs instead and they are soooo much better for me - so warm, comfortable, did great on trails, I love them.

After reading several reviews for these across the 'net, I decided The North Face Shellista II Mid Boot was the boot for me in terms of waterproofing, durability, grip, comfort, and warmth. Several reviews, however, mention that the sizing runs SMALL. This is TRUE! And I say this as someone who struggles to find a women's size 5 shoe that isn't too big for me (I wish there was a size 4.75, because 4.5 is too small!). I am a grown adult woman, but my feet are baby feet, tiny and narrow. I took a gamble and ordered the size 6 based on the reviews (and the fact that it's the smallest size available anywhere!) and they fit PERFECTLY with thick wool socks. In fact, my big toes are about 1/2 - 3/4 inch from hitting the front walls. For comparison, my size 5 Adidas sneakers are almost the same size as these. They feel great after a test drive walking around my neighborhood. I am yet to test drive them in the snow, but I'll say that my feet were running HOT walking 20 minutes in Southern California 55 degree winter temps. Looking forward to putting them to the real test in snowy New England in a few weeks! I feel confident they'll be great!

To say I loved these boots is an understatement. AFter reading through some reviews I decided to go up a size to a 7 (usually I'm between a 6 and a 6.5). They fit perfectly and even had room for a thicker sock. I used them hiking in upstate NY in the snow and my feet never got cold! (with microspikes on the bottoms) Super comfortable and barely had to break them in! I couldn't be happier with my purchase! would absolutely buy again!
