    Great Christmas Present

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size

I got this for my mom in the largest size that was available XL. She was so excited about that she lost a few pounds to fit into it better. It comes with a small amount of insulation that is perfect for less strenuous winter activities. If you find yourself exerting too hard you might overheat a little but it is still decently breathable.

My mom has taken it out snowshoeing multiple times and has fallen into the snow quite a few times as well and it's kept her dry and given her confidence to keep adventuring and leave the house more often!

    Great Christmas Present

    Great Overall

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Lg/R

These pants are well worth their money. They fit true to size, and you can easily layer leggings or sweats under them. I wear them when I ski, or just go out to play in the snow. They have deep pockets that zip so you can hold all your stuff. They also come in a lot of great colors. I like them so much that I bought a second pair!

    More flare than expected

    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium Short

This is definitely baggy but I expected that part, as this is a relaxed fit. What I did not expect was the degree of flare at the bottom. The photos are a bit misleading there. I didn't like that feature so I will be returning these pants.

    good price but . .

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: small

Fairly priced snow pants, sleek look, however the waist was a little large, and the legs are huge! very spacious bell bottoms (presumably for snowboots) ultimately turned us off to these pants.

    too small, very bell pantish

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Small

Despite the size chart, these were far too small to fit (ordered a size small as a 27). Also, they were incredibly bell-bottomed as I believe some other reviews had mentioned. They looked quite awkward on. They were a beautiful color in the red tone; however, being returned nonetheless.

    Disappointed

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: Medium

Super disappointed that these pants don't fit -- the deep garnet red is a really cool color. The waist was much too big and the flare at the bottom disproportionate. I wanted these to fit and now have to pay to ship them back - bummer. Might have to find a company that allows for free returns. I'm wondering if a small would fit (any thoughts on that?) but don't really want to risk having to return again.

    Perfect fit

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

Love the price point on these pants for days on the slope. I've used them touring too and they actually have pretty good flex in the knee. I ordered small-long and they fit perfectly. Keep me dry and warm, citrine yellow color is fun.

    Good for what they are

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: M

I really like these pants, but don't love them. Mostly I think this is because of my lower body shape. My waist is quite a bit smaller than the size that fits my legs so these pants are pretty tight on my legs and big on my waist (any bigger and they would fall off). This isn't too much of an issue most of the time and allows for a pretty wide range of movement. I would imagine if you have more slender lengs, these would be a dream.

    Trusted and reliable

My mom needed a new pair of pants for the snow. North face with its great reputation was a perfect choice. These pants are affordable and basic, but for her needs fit the bill perfectly. She says they are warm, and comfortable and just what she needed for her few days on the slopes, shoveling the driveway and snowshoe hikes. Also the size options are great and the fit is true to size

      Decent for beginner ski pants

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: S/reg

Great ski pant for the price. I fall a lot and haven't had an issue feeling cold or getting snow getting in my pants yet :) They are pretty wide, my legs are on the skinnier side, but still doable. I'm 5'3 and was considering a short, I ended up with regular which has worked fine with ski boots. If I were just wearing them primarily with boots I would have wanted a shorter pant.

      Bizarre Sizing

      • Fit: Runs large
      • Size Bought: XL

I originally ordered a L/short as I am 5'2", 160lbs. The L fit was perfect except too snug on my backside so I ordered an XL/Short. The XL is gigantic! I have no idea how this company goes from L being normal on my legs and waist and the XL I could almost put both my legs into one leg hole. I'm so disappointed because the yellow was so cute and the cut was flattering for those of us with curves. However, the weird sizing means I can't wear these.

      Worst pants ever

      • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
      • Fit: Runs large
      • Size Bought: Small/Short

I was so excited about these pants, as a few reviews said they were flattering. They are not. SUPER wide leg, but for the price, I thought I could deal with that. I put on these pants to play outside in the snow with my kids. After 10 minutes, I practically had more snow up my pants than there was in the yard. I came inside and promptly put them back in the bag to return. The leg opening (and gaiter) are so wide that it literally stopped nothing from going up my leg. I can't imagine skiing in them on a snowy day. My legs would freeze! I wouldn't even wear these pants if they were free.

      Wanted to Love...

      • Fit: Runs small

I'm 5'3'', about 138lbs. When pants are sized in letters rather than numbers, I'm almost always a S. I ordered a S based on other reviews, but I couldn't button them. There was about an inch and half gap. The waist is much smaller than the leg openings (which fit perfectly). The M fits in the waist, but the leg openings are too wide for my taste. The pants are much more bell-bottomed than shown in the picture.

I can tell these would be great pants if they fit - disappointed to be sending back!

TNF cares about the taller ladies too!

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: S Tall

Being a taller girl, finding pants that are long enough is always a struggle but its extra cumbersome when trying to find winter gear. Luckily TNF has thought about us taller gals and gives length options. I got the XS Tall and STall to compare sizes. The XS was too tight(I wear 26/27), the S is a baggier fit but good for layering and they are long enough to actually cover my boot.

      Unanswered Question

Hi, the north face website says the inseam for "short" is 30 inches but the size chart here says the "short" inseam is 28. I was wondering if somebody can measure the product for me? I am looking at a size XS. Thanks!

Can I get these sent to New Zealand??

The North Face does not allow us to ship their products outside the US!

      I am 5'6" 130 pounds, should I get a small or a medium?

My daughter is 5'3 and about 100 lbs. I am debating between the girls size 14/16 and these but the girls reviews say they run super short. Will these fit her??

Hey hey! I am 25 inches around the waist with slighter wider hips at 34 inches slim build and 174cm tall. I am confused whether I should get these in small or medium. I am also wanting to wear a pair of thermal tights underneath if that helps. Pls Assist!!! Thanks heaps, Vee

Get them in small, that's the appropriate size, we'll one inch xtra, if you like a snug fit, you might wanna try xtra small that's if you like it snug, also if you do have long legs then get a 32inseam, unless you know 30inseam will be good. other sizes are avail on north face main site.
