The North Face Sable Mid GTX XCR Boot - Women's

I've been wearing strictly Merrells for years, and thought I'd try these. Comfy, good looking boots. I am a size 8 with regular/narrow width feet and these boots were a little too spacious in the toe box for me (width and length).

Not the best boot, but good for the price. They don't provide the support you would expect, especially at the ankle. In my opinion there is too much toe room above the toes, more than any other boot I've owned, but I like a glove like fit. The tread is solid and they are completely waterproof, but I can't deny that the fit of the boot is awkward.

I bought these boots to wear while deployed. They provide excellent stability in rocky terrain and loose gravel. Plus, they are very comfortable and did not hurt my feet at all. A major bonus was the fact there is plenty of toe room even while wearing thick socks and they keep your feet super warm. They are also very durable and match everything. In fact, I have bought them twice because the first pair was stolen. No regrets. The only negative is the fact they do not breathe very well because they are made with Gortex, but nothing a little powder can't fix. I went up half a size to get extra toe room and to ensure I could wear thick socks without crowding.

I was sick of always getting my feet wet on hikes so I went out and bought some boots. These boots are awesome! So comfortable & I barely had to break them in. Definitely a great investment :)
