Four-way stretch in The North Face Women's S.T.H. Pants gives you plenty of flexibility as you schralp that super-steep line, and these ski pants' low rise matches your contemporary style. The water-resistant, breathable Apex ClimateBlock fabric keeps your legs comfy and dry as you shred inbounds, and a fleece backing feels soft on warm, no-long-john ski days. Stretch mesh panels in the gaiters of the S.T.H. Pants help cool your legs as you tear down mogul fields.
Bottom Line: The North Face S.T.H. Pants keep your style points high and your derrière dry.
I am not thrilled about these pants. I hate the low waist, to me that's a really dumb idea for snow sports, the cold, and if I fall, the snow get in there. I also find that they are not very warm, okay for spring skiing, or snowshoeing but no good for skiing on the usual cold winter days.
At 1st I got these in medium/long. They were a bit big in the waist, although have athletic thighs & wear a 3-5 in jeans- long length-34". SO- I sent them back for a small/long. These fit great. AND< I can still put a liner pant underneath- as long as they are form fitting. These pants have stretch, & are fleecy inside. I wore them in -30 degree weather walking around RED LODGE, Montana, w/ liner pants underneath- WARM & COZY!!! PLUS They come in LONG Length- YEAH!!!
Where are the upper pockets on these pants? I'm trying to figure out if this is the same model as I tried on at the store, which had on-seam pockets with a zipper.
There are two pockets with almost invisible zippers on the front side seams. Not real big, these are definately not cargo pants, make sure your jacket has the storage you need

I tried these on at an REI last year but the S was a tad large on me. Saw the XS on this site (for less) and promptly ordered them, in the short length. They were so much too small that I thought I should try the S again (I'm a size 6, maybe the ones I tried were mislabeled?), in the regular length (I've got a 30-inch inseam). Perfect fit.
Features: Nice lower rise, with the option to snug the pants up at the back waist. Good pocket placement (for small flat items), including one below the knee on the outside right leg, and a pass clip inside the right hip pocket. Extra velcro tab behind the snaps (so exertion doesn't pop them open). Great finish, cozy inside without being an "insulated" pant.
They're replacing my tried and true wool stretch ski pants, which have seen better days. I was looking for low rise fitted wool pants. These seem like they'll go that one better--less likely to stretch out and wrinkle with a week's hard skiing.
These pants are really comfortable and stay really warm and dry if you don't fall alot. They look really great on but no belt loops and it's a drag pulling them up everytime you get back to the chair. But they are such a nice pant I decided to just sew on some belt loops so I can use them more often.
I loved these so much I bought them in black and white. I also bought my mother a pair and she loves them as well. I have used them for walking my dog in windy and wet weather, snowhoeing and skiing. They have a very flattering, non bulky fit, with the right amount of stretch.
This shell fits a touch long, however not too much to get in the way. Not sufficiently warm when sitting in a long chair lift (even with North Face tights), but perform well when moving down the slopes. Stayed dry, as well.
The Apex ClimateBlock fabric has a great feel to it. Wearing them is so not like wearing the run of the mill "ski pants". I think these pants provides more of a flattering feminine fit. One could almost get away with wearing them as a piece in one's leisure wear. Some tweaking here and there would make that possible. Are u listening North Face? The only drawbacks are, the elastic cuffs on the inside are too big, they need velcro adjustments. Plus outside belt loops or optional suspenders would have been a better choice than incorporated elastic tabs, it causes bunching.
These are now my most favorite ski pants. Extremely comfortable and kept me nice and toasty. Used them to ski in Colorado last week for 2 of the 4 days I skiied. They are not like your typical ski pants---they are cut more trendy pair of black pants and are not ginormous in the legs. Would definitely recommend them if you are looking for a good pant of soft shell pants that look great on and are more modern.
Hoping to wear these pants getting around the village on those freezing wintery days/nights, I was impressed with the stylish looks of TNF STH pant. The inside feels nice and cosy too. The length was great as I often find pants too short for me. Being 5'7'' and 60kg I found the large way too large in the waist and thighs, so don't take the sizing chart as gospel.
Luv these pants. Have always purchased Helly Hanson but wanted a more tailored fit...these pants are very slimming and don't make you look bigger than you really are. Excellent Cut!
So soft on the inside, boot cut is stylish and makes these pants look like "real" (as opposed to ski) pants. They certainly do their job, though, keeping you warm and dry on the slopes. I've used them in 15 degree weather with snow and wind and was toasty warm. LOVE THEM!
I am not thrilled about these pants. I hate the low waist, to me that's a really dumb idea for snow sports, the cold, and if I fall, the snow get in more...
