The North Face's lighweight Men's VaporWick Ruckus Long-Sleeve T-Shirt utilizes VaporWick fabric technology to keep you dry and comfortable for trekking, adventure travel, and even days when you just wish you were out doing one of those things. The super-soft, quick-drying VaporWick Ruckus Long-Sleeve T-Shirt offers a loose and relaxed fit. For bright desert days or sunny mornings, the VaporWick Ruckus Long-Sleeve T-Shirt's fabric protects against harmful ultraviolet rays. Use as a snazzy-soft inner layer for winter sports, or all on its own on those glorious no-jacket-necessary days during the rest of the year.
I have put my shirt to the test on 2 Appalachian Trail thru-hikes. It works great as a base layer in cooler temperatures, but most of the time I wear it by itself. It wicks moisture away from my body while hiking and dries quickly when I'm finished for the day. It has proven itself to be very durable while being very comfortable. I would highly reccomend this product..!!!
I am 6' tall with long arms, I have a large and the sleves are a little short on me. To remedy this I cut small holes at the bottom of the sleves so I can insert my thumbs. This keeps my sleves from riding up and works well for me.

I originally bought this as a base layer, but found it's way to soft and comfortable to use only on layering occasions. I ended up using this as my winter sleep top, and have never slept so well. I tend to sleep a little warm, and having something to wick throughout the night is great. I wish they made pants out of this stuff. It does pile, but I don't care. Worked good as a base for skiing and cold weather camping before it became pajamas.
Great Shirt for hiking in warm conditions and keeps you dry. Only compliant is that the shirt is not very robust.Having a backpack on caused the shirt to pile due to friction.
Great for mildly chilled weather. Antibiotic fibers work well, wicking works well, the softest feel of any synthetic fabric I've worn, but sleeves could be one inch longer, then it would be the perfect shirt.
I have the same problem with my sleeves being too short. I remedied the problem by cutting small holes in the bottom of the sleeves then inserting my thumbs. This keeps my sleeves from riding up.
I really like the fit and feel of this shirt. I also liked that it was thicker than the wickedlite and the vaporwick. It is loose all around which gives it an airy feeling and keeps it cool. I have both a large and a medium - I am 5'8" 185. The big down fall is it pills like mad. It only too 2 washes (following the care instructions) before I got little fuzzballs all over. I am not a fan of how it looks when it has all the little fuzzballs. Probably will look for a different shirt in the future.
Hi CWL - I am 6'6" 260 and at first I got the XL. The arms were too short. I replaced that one for the XXL and it fits perfectly. That should work great for you, too. -EB
I ordered several Under Armour shirts and thought I would try the VaporWick. I am very pleased and can't tell the difference. I really like the loose fit and I these fit my long arms (35 inches) very well.
I have a few North Face shirts and recently purchased the Ruckus crew as another layer for the winter madness that is about to begin. I was truly hoping that this shirt wouldn't let me down in the arm length department, which most NF shirts typically do, but much to my chagrin this shirt also fails in the length of the sleeves. It's too bad b/c everything else about this shirt is perfect - super soft, fits great in the chest and torso, good color, excellent as a layer - if they fix the sleeve length then this will be the best long sleeve going.
It could be that I have gorilla arms that are a tad bit longer than most normal humans, but I rarely admit that to anyone.
This shirt is very comfortable. The material is really soft. Would definitely recommend it. It kept me warm without making me sweat. I thought it fit really well, I'm 5"10 and 185 and ordered a large.
I am about 5'9" and 175lbs and i ordered a Medium but the shirt isn't that loose, should had ordered Large or even XL despite the fit quality is great, very comfortable
I am 5'11" and 182 lbs and a large fits. My arms are 34 inches and the sleeves are just right. Most people will probably want to consider going up a size if they have long arms or a little too much around the mid section, because the shirt is fitted and offers no forgiveness in the way of extra material without using the elasticity built in to the shirts. In other words... Your beer belly will be accentuated if your shoulders and chest are not preportionate.
Got this for my dad for Christmas. It's a midweight and he will use it for mountain biking. The fabric is quality and it is breathable. Runs true to size. Nice saturated colors!
JUST A GREAT WAY TO GO FOR COLD WEATHER CYCLING. I PREFER TO WEAR A 'T' UNDERNEATH. THEN A VAPORWICK LAYER, WITH A ZIP CONDUIT SHELL ON OUTSIDE. FOR TEMPS 30 - 40 F. THEN AS DAYTIME WARMING SETS IN, YOU CAN ADJUST FOR ALL OF THE CONDITIONS, WINDY, DAMP, OR FULL SUN.
this is a great Long sleeve. Not too hot and not too cold great to wear when the temp is around 60F .. I am going to get two more of them .. Very soft fabric for being Polyester almost feels like cotton
Got 2 on sale and loving every minute in them! Comfortable, but I'm 5'11" and 157 so a large is long enough, but baggy, not to the hoodlum point, but loose. Light-Medium weight.
Overall a good buy as all north face products. Slightly larger than size indicates and material is clingy in nature. Overall, good for winter wear rather than gym wear in Florida for which I purchased it.
This shirt is super versatile. I use it as a baselayer skiing, for climbing, hiking, biking...It wicks great and is very comfortable. It really does it all. Only downside is it hold odor after use, but that can be solved with a quick wash.
We had to return this awesome shirt because of size but you guys were cool about it. I got a medium for my boyfriend who is normally a medium and he was swimming in it. It appears to run big - it fit more like a large. Great shirt though!
I have put my shirt to the test on 2 Appalachian Trail thru-hikes. It works great as a base layer in cooler temperatures, but most of the time I wear it more...
