Wonderful Jacket!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I was looking for a walking/biking late winter/early spring layering jacket (I live in Boston) and this totally fits the bil. The lining is incredibly soft and cozy--it feels like you're walking around with a chic blanket on your arms. The lining really sold me on the jacket.

I ordered an extra-small, and it fits perfectly (I'm 5'8" and a 110 lbs.) If you're looking for a looser fit or would like to layer more, I would order a size up.

Excellent for Mud Season

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small

I got this jacket as a good in-between piece to wear during mud season up here in Park City since it was too warm for my down jacket but too cold for a lighter sweater. Since I got it, I've basically been living in it.

I'm 5'2 and a rectangular shape, so I ordered extra small. Its a little short and tight on the torso for me, but not enough to return. In retrospect, I would probably get a small just to give me more length and room in the hips.

Within the first weekend, the right pocket zipper slipped off its tracks. i was going to exchange it with BC but then managed to fix it on my own. Since then its busted again but to me it doesn't seem to be worth the effort to send back and wait for a new one.

The only thing I wish were different were deeper pockets on the side (my phone keeps flopping out of it if its not zipped up) and an inner pocket for a key or cash stash. Side vents would be cool too.

For the price I paid and my simple needs, this has been a excellent little jacket for me. I'd definitely order another, but I'm guessing this will last me for a while.

Versatile, 'go-to' soft shell

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

Bought this for my wife for Christmas. She has a North Face Fleece/hard shell combo for skiing, and she loves this softness of the fleece. She was constantly wearing the fleece by itself. So, it was a no brainier that she would love this one because of the lining. She loves it and wears it all the time. Great for everyday use, even running outside in the winter. Would definitely recommend!

Softshell + delicious fleece lining

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift, but have feedback to share
  • Fit: True to size

Got this jacket in Brilliant Blue as a Christmas gift for my cousin, and she was stoked! The fleece collar liner is magical, and the softshell exterior material and medium-light weight will be great for day-to-day winter use in cool (but not crazy) weather. The fit and material look and feel awesome, especially in the blue color option.

North Face short changed this jacket

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

the 2011 version of this jacket was great! thick inter shell lining and inside pockets. Outer shell quality not nearly as good. Go back to the 2011 design and quality!!

Awesome jacket!

I purchased this jacket in Sept 2012 to use as a spring/fall jacket in Chicago. My family then moved to Seattle shortly after and I lived in this jacket the entire winter. The fabric is flexible, the fleece lining is soft, and the sleeves are plenty long. I also love the fact that it's nearly windproof and waterproof - perfect for those rainy days in Seattle! I think the fit is true to size as well. I'm 5'7" and 125 lbs and the small fits great. I even had some extra room to cinch up the waist a bit and can wear a lightweight sweater underneath as well. This jacket also provides enough warmth that I can wear it to 40 degrees without being too cold.

warm

I bought this jacket as a gift for my girlfriend. She said it was awesome and so soft on the inside. But still needs a jacket on top for really cold days.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!

I dn't want to take it off when I come back in the house! Cozy soft fleece inside, lightweight and windproof outside together in a really flattering fit. For those of you with long arms - the sleeves are really long.
