Supercharged Powerpack!

You think you're dialed and wired? Not unless you have The North Face Router Charged Laptop Backpack, with water- and crush-resistant lithium polymer battery that charges your goodies on-the-go. This pack has a logical layout to make charging your devices a cinch: organized pockets hold your devices and the Joey battery with a fully integrated cable system that lets you route devices, even your tablet, in its neoprene back sleeve. The Joey is removable, too, so you can use it in other packs, and with Smart technology it's conserved when not in use. Of course, there's a separate laptop pocket with tablet sleeve and plenty of room for extra layers, snacks, and other boring non-electronics.

To protect all your high-tech toys, this pack is made from durable ballistics nylon and features PU external zippers. FlexVent injection-molded shoulder straps have foam padding on top and bottom for superior comfort, and a padded, air-mesh back panel with spine channel and PE sheet provide support and weight transfer to the hips for heavy hauls and long trips. The padded hipbelt and sternum strap remove for streamlined carrying.

Great for air travel

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is a great pack for traveling, especially given the flap down section for your laptop. TSA can screen your whole pack without having to take the laptop out (you unzip one section and lay it flat away from other part of pack). The charger works for all our gadgets and really helps during delays where you might be stuck w/o power for a long time.
The pack is also good for just general use, but the part that sets up apart for our family is the laptop section.

Awesome Backpack!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I purchased this backpack because my old North Face Hot Shot backpack was getting old and small. This pack is pretty big and can fit a lot of stuff. I can fit multiple textbooks along with folders in my bag easily. The weight distribution in the bag is great. With my old backpack, having a couple textbooks in there made it very heavy when carrying around.

The only concern with the bag is the handle at the top of the bag. It's thin, but it's holding up pretty well so far.

College Pack

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I purchased this for my son who starts college in a few months. Rugged enough for all of the use it will get over the next year. His 17 inch Dell laptop fits perfectly. The charger is the big reason I purchased this backpack over some of the others I was looking at, when you forget to charge your phone it can be a lifesaver.
