The North Face Roadhog Cargo Shorts have enough pockets to store the necessities for urbaneering or a march through the woods. They're constructed from durable cotton canvas and the side and back pockets secure with VELCROŽ. They have a relaxed fit and casual look to match your lifestyle.
I really like these shorts, a loose fit and the long inseam is nice. I hate wearing shorts that look like a 80's basketball player. Plenty of pockets and durable but a bit heavy.
These are pretty standard shorts. My 32" pair is loose fitting, which is annoying because I'm a pretty standard 32. But with a belt they're pretty manageable. The cargo pockets and durable material make these shorts kind of heavy. The pockets are nice and big, but that can sometimes contribute to heavy shorts that want to fall down.
Good build quality, nice style (a little long for my taste).

I have a pair that I ahve been wearing for two summers now and they are finally shot. I did put them through their paces camping and I also worked in a warehouse so I was always carrying cardboard boxes so they did have a fair share of wear and tear. Not as durable as say a stand up short but pretty good none the less. Also, very comfortable and as you wear them in they get very soft but that also becomes their eventual downfall as the fabric wears through. Still ordering two new pair since they are on sale. Nice enough to go out but functional for hiking and camping. The draw string is nice incase you forget a belt or end up swimming in them..
Ordered 1 pair, loved them in every way so I ordered 3 more. They are very well build - double stitched all the way around. They are tough but yet very soft and very comfortable. The inside drawstring is great when they get wet as I hate wearing a belt. They dress up well and look fine with a knit shirt for dinner and have quickly become my favorite shorts.
I have long legs, so it's hard to find shorts that fit well. I tried on shorts from several different companies and these fit the best by far. These shorts are very comfortable and appear well made. I don't really notice that I'm wearing them, so that's a big plus. Pockets are useful. I don't particularly like the pull tab on the zipper, but you can cut that off-it's certainly not a deal breaker. The internal drawstring for the waist is OK. I'm not sure I like it yet, but again, not a deal breaker and you can choose not to use it. Overall, I really like these shorts a lot and bought three more pair. Fast shipping from Backcountry.com too.
I've owned the North Face Roadhog cargo shorts for about 2 years now and they're still going strong! I've always been a big fan of TNF clothing and I own quite a few different pieces. For the last 2 years, my Roadhog cargo shorts have been a regular part of my wardrobe. I've definitely gotten my money's worth out of them too. Usually I just wear them to work or around town as an "everyday short" but I've also worn them hiking quite a bit. They're very soft and comfortable and fairly lightweight too. The cargo pockets are pretty big and can hold quite a bit. I strongly recommend these shorts.
