The North Face Women's Redpoint Vest provides core warmth and layering functionality while leaving your arms free to move. It's puffy and soft, but not bulky. Suprisingly warm for the thickness. I wear the Redpoint Vest at least once a week, especially on chilly morning bike rides to work. Love it!
The sizing chart probably has the exact length. I have an average torso length and width so I ordered a medium and it hits me right on the hip bone.

I wear this around town, with a sweatshirt under on colder days and alone on cool days. Its sleek design adds warmth without the weight and avoids turning my upper body into a marshmallow shape! Pockets are adequate and well positioned.

I really like this vest. I bought it for figure skating practice for the main reason, and I love it. I like all the pockets and the slim fit. It is the perfect weight for athletic activities in the winter. I do wish they had a petite fit though. I am short waited, and the armhole and length are a bit long. Overall I'm very happy!
