Redpoint Insulated Vest - Men's

As awesome as it is, the time will come when the full sleeves of your Redpoint Jacket may be just a little too much for the task at hand. Fear not, fellow pilgrim; The North Face created the Redpoint Vest for just such occasions. Made with PrimaLoft Eco insulation (at least 50% post-consumer products such as plastic bottles), the Redpoint Vest seals in warmth at your core where it matters most while leaving your arms free to climb, paddle, or play a game of catch with your favorite throwable object. When the temperature heats up and you no longer need extra warmth, stuff the vest into its own pocket and toss it in a bag until you need it again.

Bottom Line: Sometimes less is more.

This vest has been a great addition to my layering scheme. On a very cold day skiing in Vermont, I found I was too hot with my TNF Gore Tex jacket and Redpoint jacket zipped in. Switched at lunch to the vest under the Gore Tex and was very comfortable.

As warm weather has still not come to New England, I use the vest almost daily at lacrosse practice / games. When I am running with the kids, I wear the vest over a long sleeve shirt and find my arms free to move. In windy conditions, the vest under a team jacket does the trick. I am cold most of the time, so I carry this vest with me always. It is very compact and easy to stuff into a bag or its own carry pouch.

I just received my NF vest and wore it for the first time this past weekend. This vest kept my body warm and it was very comfortable to wear. I highly recommend it. Another thing I like about the vest is that, it isn't to heavy or thick.

I like it as as a casual vest to wear with jeans when the weather gets cool.

Perfect vest for a tall guy

By:

I am 6'5" and 200lbs. Needless to say finding a vest that was long enough took years. This vest is "the business." Form fitting without being tight. Great looking and warm as hell.

Great Item

For everyone who hates the bulky blimpy down vests... here it is-- a primaloft vest... amazingly comfortable, very light weight, a great insulation layer. Nice design with three pockets all with zippers and with cinch at bottom to seal out the wind. I wore one of these most days last winter... a perfect warm layer under any jacket or coat.

Amazing layering or stand alone piece

Want a vest that actually fits under a shell? Want one that is still warm when wet? Best of all, want one that won't break the bank? All that's what I was looking for when I picked this guy up and I can only hope they're still making it when my current one wears out. Like another commenter said below, great vest for tall people. I'm 6'3" and about 23o and have never had issues with it being too short on me. Another nice feature, the sleeve holes are elastic so they actually seal up a bit around your shoulders.Being primaloft, it doesn't pack down quite like a down vest might but still gets pretty small and the left hand pocket reverses into a stuff sack.
