The North Face Women's Redpoint Hybrid Insulated Jacket combines PrimaLoft warmth with ultra mobility to keep your core insulated throughout your most active cold weather adventures. Recycled polyester insulation surrounds your torso, and softshell fill-free sleeves allow for maximum movement. The North Face gave this highly technical hybrid shell a soft brushed collar and hem cinch cord to assure your comfort and warmth.

Bottom Line: Stay warm, move fast.

Disappointed

By:
March 5, 2009

I bought this jacket a couple of weeks ago for the NY winter and was disappointed. It was much lighter than I expected. I read the reviews which seemed great and thought I was getting a much warmer jacket. For the money I spent, I'm definitely disappointed. I still have to wear this under a wool coat and I'm still cold. I decided to keep it for those mild and spring days which I think would be perfect for that. Definitely not meant to be used alone for winter coat.

light but very good

By:

I love the jacket but it was lighter than I had expected after reading other reviews. Was not warm enough to wear alone on a cold and windy day. Wind came right through the sleeves. I love the length. It is long enough to cover your waist and I have a long torso. The fit was also bigger than expected. I go between small and extra small with sizes. I ordered a small, but probably needed the extra small.

Could this coat zip into a north face shell.

Not zip in compatible. If you are looking for one that is, I'd recommend just getting the Redpoint (non-hybrid). It is and it's a great layering jacket or standalone jacket.

Love It!

Just recieved this today-it is great.
It is a light-weight jacket, but will be good for cool evenings.
I ordered the ivory and it is more on the gray side, won't show the dirt as much!
Wish I had this last fall!

Soft shell sleeves and Primaloft fill in the body- it's a mix between a softshell and an insulated piece.

I bought this jacket last week for the New Orleans winter. It is a little lighter than I was expecting, but it snowed in the big easy yesterday and a sweatshirt under this jacket was very warm. It moves extremely well and is very comfortable. The length couldn't be more perfect

That depends where you live and how warm you want to be. On its own, it'd probably keep you warm down to the low 40s. If that's as cold as your winters get, this should do the trick.

RECOMMEND

I love it! Its exactly what I was looking for, simple, warm and fits great! I would recommend it to anyone who wants warmth without bulk. I'm 5'10" and its got great length for both my arms and torso.

It's all depending on your location but this probably won't replace your winter coat. This one is more for aerobic activities in winter.

OK but returned

By:
November 28, 2008

This is a nice jacket but I returned it because it fit a little snug in the body and shoulder area for me. I was looking for a looser fit to wear with a sweatshirt or sweater. Other than that it was the nice quality you would expect from North Face. I bought the Redpoint jacket instead and it fit much looser and is great to keep free of dog hair also.
