Description

Month after month of comfort.

The North Face Red Blaze Insulated Jacket is one of the only pieces of clothing you can wear every day for 6 months of the year without being shunned by normal society. The Red Blaze takes the edge off chilly spring and fall days as a stand-alone jacket. When winter really sets in and temperature drops into the teens, you can zip the Red Blaze into a compatible shell from The North Face to create a toasty parka.

The Red Blaze is made with lightweight nylon face fabric. Inside, high-loft Primaloft Eco insulation traps your body heat to keep you warm in chilly weather. The two hand pockets also have insulation on the outside to keep your hands warm. A Napoleon pocket on the chest is perfect for your phone or an MP3 player, or anything else that you want to keep close at hand. When it's time to pack up and head out for a hike, you can stow the Red Blaze inside its own pocket so it takes up less room in your pack, then pull it out if the temperature drops.

  • Durable nylon shell fabric
  • Primaloft Eco insulation
  • Regular fit, waist length
  • Elastic at cuffs
  • Cinch cord at hem
  • Secure chest pocket
  • Zip-in compatible

Warm and light.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

6'2" 225# XL fits nicely. I wear this hiking in the winter with not much under it, and to my son's hockey games at the freezing cold rink, keeps me nice and toasty with a wool sweater under it. Does not feel bulky, hardly notice wearing it.

Love this jacket!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I'm 5'8" and 145lbs. and a med fits fine and layer fine with all my stuff. Stuffs into it own pocket, keeps my warm unless the wind is really howling, then I just throw a shell over it and GTG.

poor fit

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs large

I'm 140lbs and I bought a small. The jacket fits very loose and lets a lot of air in because of this. However it is too bulky to layer under anything.
