Disappointed for the price

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The quality is fine and it does the job for school or day hiking, but there are just a bunch of little things that bother me. The pack doesn't sit upright if you try to place it on the ground-- it will flop over, both forwards or backwards, and can spill things or mess up what you're carrying inside. The side bottle holders are also elastic and barely fit a normal size water bottle-- my mesh is even fraying from trying to carry bottles or travel mugs.
Also, when I bought this, the tag on the pack advertised that the inside sleeve could hold a 15.6" laptop. This is not true. It barely fit my old 13", and my new 15.6" protrudes a good 1/2" outside the backpack, so closing it is impossible.

It carries books and binders fine, but I feel like I can be picky with a brand like North Face, and this pack has some issues.

Best backpack

After much research this is the best backpack for school. Comfortable, inside is very spacious and its great looking! My daughter has to carry 'tons' of books and the shoulder straps make a difference! Very happy with our purchase !

    Great backpack for school

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I got the powdered blue colored backpack and it is perfect for school. I can fit about three or four binders in it. Plus there's a pocket for my phone and pencils. The straps are retractable so it's adjustable for anybody. I've even brought it on trips. It's also great for just slipping in my laptop and a few pairs of clothes. It comes in great colors. I get compliments on the backpack all the time from other people in the halls. I've even seen guys with this backpack because there are so many different colors. Buy it for your son, daughter, niece, nephew, or even yourself. It's a very universal backpack and everyday I use it I am thankful I bought it. I would have no problem recommending this bag to a friend or relative for school.

    Best bookbag ever!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love this bag! I got the grey/peach colored bag and the colors are the best! Plenty of room and comfortable, I would recommend this bag to anyone.

    Unanswered Question

I've just gotten the rocket red/grey asphalt backpack. I wonder if the rocket red color is more like a fuchsia pink color or more like an strong orange red color? And, is the grey very dark?

    Thank you!
