Raging Viking Pant - Men's

What the … since when did they install a pool at the bottom of that park jump? Oh well, good thing you were wearing your Gore-Tex-armored Raging Viking Pant from The North Face when you launched. Actually, the waterproof fabric isn’t helping much since you’re submerged in a pool, but you know the pants’ll keep you dry during winter whiteouts.

  • Waterproof breathable Gore-Tex fabric fights wetness all winter long
  • Park fit (roomy through the hips, thighs, knees, and cuffs) for your riding style
  • Chimney Venting System uses thigh and gaiter vents to cool your legs
  • Cargo pockets hold snacks
  • RECCO rescue reflector may help ski patrol find you in an in-bounds slide

Bottom Line: Dry all winter … minus any random pool-landings, that is.

Fragile Pants

By:
December 10, 2010

I'm giving these pants a 1 star rating based on the fact that I managed to get a tear in the two pants I wore. The first pair got a relatively large rip in it within the first couple of days I wore them- the only cause of which could have been some brushing up against twigs. When I say brushing, I mean, lightly rubbing against. Of course, Backcountry was great and accepted an exchange but (once again) after several days of riding there was another rip.

A snowpant as expensive as this should not be ripping with little cause. They have kept me dry and warm, but the durability of the pants is terrible... Would not recommend.

Good pants

By:

These pants are good but not great. The 3 layer gore is great and the vents work really well. The pockets are useful and plentiful. My only issue is the fact that there is no protection on the bottoms for ski edges, trees and rocks. (low snow year) I'd recommend these pants but I'm going to get some superfabric sewed on the cuffs.

The North Face Raging Viking Pant great goretex pant

These pants are very stylish and are a great 3 layer Gore Tex Performance shell piece. They have nice vents on the inside of the leg move heat nicely. I would highly recommend these pants to anyone. I'm 6' and 200lbs and the Larges fit me perfectly.
