The North Face Radial Trail Running Shoe - Men's - 2006 BCS

These shoes were a little tight around the middle of the foot at first, but I wore them around town, not running or hiking in them for a week and they finally got a good fit. Now, they are comfortable and seem sturdy enough for me! They are not for cold weather, but North Face is not marketing them that way, so they are great warm weather runners for me!

I bought these for my son. He wears them every day to school and swears by them. When he runs track he just uses the same shoes!

After good experiences with The North Face Vapor Light and Ultra 102 this shoe did not cut it. Mesh at the corner of the toe box developed a hole in about 100 miles. In less than 200 I lost a tread/lug off the sole on both shoes down the center of the forefoot. Not even the same tread/lug location on each shoe. The Radial is not the high-end shoe, but I notice the more expensive shoes have the same outsole. Fit and performance were otherwise OK. Too bad.

My roommate and I bought a pair of the Radial trail runners for some summertime trail running and within three weeks, the tread started peeling off the bottom of both of our shoes. I was doing 4-5 trail runs a week and my roommate 2-3. They were quite comfortable to run in, but I'm very disappointed in their durability.
