Meet your new adventure buddy: The North Face Women's Purgatory Multisport Shoe. The Purgatory Shoe is ready to go wherever you are, and then some\227it's a multisport master. If today's outing includes jogging on a steep gravelly trail, crossing a stream or two, maneuvering a scree field, or hopping into a canoe, you needn't decide between trail running shoes, water sandals, and full-fledged hiking boots. The Purgatory handles it all. It features a lightweight three-layer softshell upper that, like your favorite softshell jacket, keeps you snug and dry while releasing excess heat and vapors. A lightweight external net of TPU welding provides excellent structured support across the foot, and a compression-molded EVA midsole with an X2-O heel air pod offers the cushioning you need for speed. A Vibram rubber outsole provides a grippy interface between you and the trail.

I ordered these shoes a few weeks ago and love them so far! They're quite warm even though they're breathable too, the tread is amazing, the insole is pretty good (I have a really high arch so I'll have to replace it anyways, but for the average foot, it's good), and the sizing is great. As a size 11, it's important that shoes are large enough because I can't get a size larger, these shoes are great. My favorite part is the lime green color though!
Can these shoes be worn (well) in water environments? Also,

UPDATED:
I'm normally in a 1/2 size...of course my size isn't available in this color anywhere! I've read a few reviews that say they run a little large. Not sure which way to go: little bigger than usual or a little smaller??!

Write your answer here...They dry quickly if they get wet. I usually wear size 9 or 9.5 because one of my feet is longer and a bit wider. But the 9 fits me perfectly. I bought one pair, and then came back for another as they are so supportive and comfortable.

I find that these run a tad bit large. I mainly use them as winter running shoes, so it is fine with a pair of thicker socks.
